not so long ago the hdd went to shit in my ps4. Since then I've changed it, but today it started acting up again. I was getting really upset because my console was showing the same symptoms: not being able to launch games, icons not loading, games failing download. I've rebuilt the database, and that made things worse. I couldn't even start ps store to try and launch games from there. As a last resort, I tried this, and BAM! everything works just fine, even better thanks to the data rebuild. I cannot describe the relief I felt, thank you man. absolute life saver
I have been having this issue and tried everything with no luck. This fix is awesome and definitely helped. Just tested the fix. I first reconnected to my mobile hotspot then after 5 minutes of slow download, reconnect to my fibre connection, it resumed at lightening speed.
Thank you! I have encountered this error and I found your solution. I am installing 35 gbs of update!! And I dont want to wait for it again. Then Ive tried this and under a minute, it is installed! Turns out that the whole file already finished downloading! All I need to do is reconnect yo other network! Whewew saved me lot of time and data. Thank you so much!
i downloaded modern warfare 2019 yesterday and closed my ps4 incorrectly. When I turned the ps4 back on, 3 of the download packs were corrupted. How do i fix this?
The problem is in your internet provider , I’ve been struggling to download updates with my home internet and I just get this error over and over again so i went to my friends house and updated every game without problems. Don’t waste your time erasing your data or using mobile data , just go somewhere else and update it!! All these solutions on RU-vid won’t work, just wait that your internet provider fixes the error.
I have to go to my gf place to download the updates. Since my internet provider is shit. She has the same internet but hers works just fine and mine doesnt. Weird.
have you guys notice this only happens often when your game is digital?? this is why I prefer the disc because when the game updates I never experience that cannot download issue, I only experienced that when I bought a game at online ps store, there is something wrong at ps store that's why, it doesn't happen on xbox and that's the good thing about microsoft than sony
Just happen to me recently, if i check the error it says "there's a problem with the internet connection or playstation network server", but i'm glad not my console is the issue if just the PS network server they can fix it
dude IM SUPPORTING YOU IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE!!! I SHARED THIS VIDEO WITH EVERYONE. GUYS THIS WORKS!! BUT I DIDNT DO THE DELETING STEP, I simply just let it download with my wifi and then when @ last it showed the error I connected my PS4 to my mobile hotspot and downloaded it AND IT WORKED!!! Thank you this actually worked in 2019! I'm actually wire to my PS4 but I went and use my Wi-Fi and my update is finally downloaded. I don't know why this is but it is very frustrating and stupid to say the least but thanks again.
I don't know if people are still getting this problem but I pause the download and resumed it before the corrupted message came back on seems to be working for now

I’m currently having this problem. Except I’m redownloading Fortnite to play with my cousins. At first, I kept having a “Cannot Download” error popping up at 2.9 GB but then switched to WiFi since I use a LAN Cable and I thought it would work since I switched to WIFI but apparently it stopped at 5.9 GB instead of 2.9 and said “Cannot Download” again at 5.9. Now I’m using my hotspot but it’s extremely slow (40 hours) Help?
hi just watched your vid. i have a question. does this work for uncharted 4? may update file is not downloading but the game is already downloaded. all i can access is the Story mode :( i cant access the multiplayer mode even if it does show its connecting it suddenly goes back to "You do not have the patches etc etc" :( hope you can help me :'(

Some one help...I restored licences and Then I rebuilt the database and went to try find my games and half of them were removed from my library but I can still download them...but there is nothing I can do to get the corrupted data to go away
