Thanks for the great video. One question, 1) Does Car Scanner app display the voltage of each module in the High Voltage 'traction" battery? I need to see which modules are under performing.
Hi, does that helps you check battery condition in a gas car? Like to know if you should change your battery or something. I have tried demo mode, it only provides EV battery info
PRO version shows same sensors as demo version. First choose your car model in Connection - "Choose profile" then look for 12V battery sensors in "All parameters". But generally 12V battery health condition is not easy to check with ELM327, it will not tell when to replace 12V battery.
Hey thanks for making this video, it was very helpful. One thing i had issue with was getting engine oil temperature; i couldn't find the gauge anywhere.
Hello. What connection profile to choose for the Hyundai i30 1.4 CRDI car because there is no such connection and where to find the DPF parameter data? Thank you.
Hi there i am going to look at buying a car if i take this with me is there anyway i can see the history of the dtc, that this car has had, if so how can i do this please or is it a case of the history would have been removed when the eml light was turned of with other diagnostics software i hope this makes sense thank you for your help. Also sorry how do i find the volts of the battery and then the volts of the battery being charged so sorry to sound daft as i am new and watching your vids.
Hello, can you please advise if it is possible, or how to add a new code using veepeac (obd2 scan tool/ bod check ble) and car scanner app after replacing the faulty diesel CLio 2011 injector.
Please help me with my Honda Civic 2.2 2009 Diesel am trying to understand the EGR readings what is the correct or normal readings, I have a low power under 3000rpm
Hi, I appreciate you work and have used some of your tips. But I am having problem getting individual cylinder misfires. I can get total. I have a 2007 ford expedition. I set up the charts in total sensors but no data comes in. Any solution? Thanks
Hi , how to use sensor profiles ? Just Select profile and is done or we need to press “ dezactivate unsupported sensor “ because when I do that, my app freeze
Not sure about it, I am not car mechanic. There are many good descriptions of Mode $06 on the internet. Please let us know if you passed the smog test.
I'm confused. I'm driving a 2000 Nissan Sentra but the model doesn't appear on the app, but the engine does it. It's MR18DE for Versa and Tiida. So. Do I choose that profile or another one?
Hi Should the readings be instant? As I’m using a WiFi OBD2 adapter & on rev counter view there is a couple seconds delay Would a Bluetooth adapter be better? Thanks
I have a Chrysler grand voyager 2009, I would like to see the flow plugs data. Is this only available on pro? If so does it work for all Diesel engines?
Each car and engine type has different set of sensors in Car Scanner. But if not visible in trial version (during first few days), it will not be visible in Pro, either.
Check if Alternator voltage is available as separate sensor in your car profile: Settings>Sensors>Profile. Basic OBDII sensors Control module voltage and OBD voltage are always available - in Live sensors, All sensors, or put on Dashboard.
Hi, I have MB 2010 E220. I've tried free app, works fine, can even tell that this app dispalys more, than other ones, but.... I missing info about DPF.. Does that means theres no sensor for DPF readings? Or I need to buy full version, to see them? I've got code for soot accumulation, already changed sensor, because I though it will be the case, but... Seems not. Error appears every 2nd or 3rd engine start up. Would be interesting if this app can display actual value of DPF sensor and can it read MB DPF soot%...
Free and PRO versions are identical in number of detected sensors. Probably this app does not show DPF soot in your engine. But first select your car (or closest match) in Settings - Custom Sensors - Choose connection profile.
@@EV_OBD Are there any risks in selecting another model/profile from the same car company? (I do not want to fry anything) I am scanning a Kangoo 2, but it is not available as an specific profile. I have tried other Renault models (with the same K9K engine but differente series, the Kangoo has a K9K808 that isn't available in other models) and I am getting data from all kinds of sensors (including the DPF related ones that interested me) that I do not get with the standar Renault OBD-II/EOBD profile.
@@julio_costaYou can select another Renault model, no problem. Watch the "All sensors" list - you will see more or less parameters with each profile, accurate motor selection will show your most sensors.
i used to connect to car lada 2110, now i can't connect. bluetooth why is my day free di i am not connecting now. why can you help me. i'm glad i don't connect to elm i don't connect to ecu
Hi Alan & thanks for the great video. Have you worked with the IF formulas? I'm trying decode a number to display a text string, but can only get the IF function to display integers. For example IF(ShortSigned(C,D)=16384,5,6) is a valid formula but IF(ShortSigned(C,D)=16384,"Park","Other") is not.
When I try to read my DTC-Errors at my BMW it looks like 4:10. No possibility of choosing different Steuergeräte. On other Videos I saw the possibility of choosing between all the Steuergeräte which should be readen. Why cant I do this with my app and my adapter?
@janezleben @ev_obd My free full trial just ended. Found this video while searching for support. Most of the live data is now displaying a few seconds at a time, then about 5 seconds of “Available in Pro” appearing where the unit value should be. Still displays engine rpm, coolant temp, and speed. But MPG, fuel consumption related data, and most other sensor data is only displayed for 3-4 seconds at a time before the 5 second lockout. Thought it might be a glitch at first but this comment from @ev_obd makes me think this is just the end of the trial period. Considering the one time lifetime upgrade to pro. Pretty good app overall
Thanks for your app which takes considerable time and commitment. I have a question if you can help. My wife has (from almost new) a 2005 2L Nissan Primera P12 which in US the earlier P11 version is called Infitini G20. The problem is I cannot get anything to communicate with the ECU. I have an Autel MS309, Foxtell NT301 scanners and what I believe is a ELM327 Bluetooth adapter. Nothing works. Can you advise if your app should work on this vehicle and if you can recommend an adapter to replace my ELM327. If I can get it to work I will happily buy your pro app.
This is not my app, I just use it a lot. Try the free version, full version is free for a short time, and it includes unique Japanese standards: Nissan Consult II 2001-2008, Consult II ABS, etc. So it should work with Primera P12.
@@EV_OBD Thanks for your reply. I only want something that will work on my wifes car. Have looked at Nissan Consult II but for the price it's not worth it. I can have the local garage scan it if I get stuck and that has been once in the 15yrs she's had it. I'm pretty much covered for everything else. I just find it annoying that I can't scan a common Nissan myself.
Hi, Well I purchased the Pro version and and although it connected to my so called Autel ELM 327 (the screen showed it to be ELM 327) it still wouldn't connect to the ECU. I think maybe my Bluetooth adapter is a fake. I checked on the Car Scan site and see there is a couple of adapters mentioned there so unless you have one that you could recommend I'll send a message to the developer and check if the mid priced one will connect with Consult.
Choose car profile in Settings > Connection > Choose profile > Nissan > select Nissan Consult II or try some other similar Nissan profile. I never used this app with Nissan.
No DPF regeneration in Car Scanner. It is available only in Volkswagen-Skoda (VAG) MQB and PQ26 platform as experimental function, I don't know if it works: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qf0MZy4_Fes.html
Probably not. When I tested in my Volvo, Car Scanner did not see my SRS error code. You can use the free version of Car Scanner, because Car Scanner and Car Scanner PRO are identical (paid PRO version displays no ads and you can see more than 2 sensors on screen at the same time, but all functions seem identical).
I have the same combination (elm337/car scanner app) this might be a stupid question but, I used this obd2 reader to fix my daughter's car and my own reading the check engine codes, as a general rule, after repairing a vehicle, should I delete the error codes before re-scanning the repaired vehicle or leave all the codes and they will simply disappear if they are fixed? Thanks!

It depends only on car profile. In Vehicle options select "Saab EOBD Diesel CAN bus and AT and AC", you should see Odometer in All parameters. Not sure if it is available in petrol engines.
Which cars? I think this app works in all cars with diagnostic port and OBDII standard. But not all profiles have information about DPF filter. Number of displayed parameters depends on car model and engine - connect your car so you can see what sensors are visible in your car.
It depends, each car profile has varying number of sensors available (from 50 to 350 sensors). Some car profiles include injector corrections and cylinder misfires, but not all car profiles show them.
