Interesting and challenging, I am new to SQL and I was looking to build and shape my sql skills to the point of being able to pull the data, perform essencial queries, filtering, combine the tables and subqueries just to move the data into tools like power query or pandas or dplyr for cleaning and transformation stages and finally into the bi tool. After this video my mindset has just shifted radically. SQL is capable of handling the whole ETL reasonably well. Thank you for sharing your experience arround the bi work flow with special emphasis on SQL.

Yes indeed, land all the data in the same database, and write SQL to transform and enrich the data. Power Query can be ignored, all its work done in SQL.
