After 80 years, Sydney’s Victoria Park, adjacent to Sydney University, still shows evidence of zigzag-shaped air raid trenches dug into the park during the Second World War.
Being the WW2 geek I am, I noticed it when I was browsing through the 1943 map. Had to check it out when I was up in Sydney. Those trenches were in nearly every park around the city.
