How to lock up a corner route Make sure you have a corner that’s good at pressing the WR and has high speed Man: Press and play underneath if you play outside you get beat because the route is going in it’s a wheel corner route inside not out make sure when the WR gets off that you clamp keep clamping and tilt the analog stick will be shut down and pick every time Zone: Cover 2 flats or regular cover 2 play as the cb who zones the flats if you need to cover the flats ZONE CHUCK the wr so the safety can pick up on the route Experience is from franchise it’s easy to tell when the wr is gonna run that route from the way his shoulders are set up and his position on the play I can tell he’s looking to go outside once the wr tries pushing off I clamp back inside to play ball fuck practicing in madden the best thing to do is to get experience in guessing routes on defense

I’ve found that if your WRs have higher ratings, instead of actually playing better, they just play the same as lower rated WRS, but the defense around them all the sudden becomes completely stupid and forgets how to play football. That one of the reasons this game is broken.

This game has no logic. It’s entirely predetermined off animations. And you can spam the same play after play and win. It’s broken. As is maddens 12-23

Madden is less about knowing how to play football and more about knowing how to manipulate the game

Every single time I do this, my players never move at all.

I've messed with this before. I shaded underneath and both my safeties ran to the line of scrimmage and forgot there responsibilities I got bombed over the top for a game losing touchdown. Madden is so glitches sometimes

I would recommend only shading your secondary in particular situations. If you try and spam it like this guy is suggesting, your going to get popped.

I think you forgot to mention that what you talk about here only works with man/match. It doesn't work quite the same in zone

I notice I get a ton of picks against CPU when I shade underneath. Works alright online. Usually keeps them in a better position for at least a PBU or swat

If you shaded overtop on me I'm use routes that make defense run into each other

Just use options routes on offense along with early back shoulder. Man defense is getting smoked all day everyday
