Great observation, but that's the front of the V8 Speed and Resto Shop! Maybe he liked our shop so much he chose to have us paint his car to match! Thanks for the feedback!
When I first saw the initial picture I couldn’t wrap my head around the asymmetrical stripe design, I was thinking okay that feels off visually in my OCD opinion. I have changed every car i and my family had from a blue gradient faded 70 Monte (similar to the early 70’s Mako Shark Vette) Royal Candy blue from the roof to a almost sky blue at the rockers, my father’s 72 Impala hard top in two silver and charcoal gray with a flip flop blue pearl. So I truly appreciate a little left of center thinking no pun intended, the more I looked at the paint the more it felt just right, the amount of planning it took to execute and make it look so balanced and just right was really an ingenious feat. Especially with all the changes in the body surface and how the offset stripes really showcase the body lines. The mini hot wheels version of it added that extra cool factor that is vision, and you and your team really nailed it! Outstanding build, thank you Kevin for sharing this video Kevin!
I like this car a lot. The only thing I might have changed is adding the 1967 front fenders. They were always my favorite and they would match the hood.
What a beautiful Corvette. Really like it, as it's similar to what guys did with their Vettes in the 70s. Only a LOT nicer. Matchbox were the best, they actually looked real. Hot Wheels were silly to some of us, partly because of the ads. Hey, whatever floats your boat!
My favorite Vette is the rare GS racing version from this era. I must say that this is my second favorite I have ever seen. This is really nice and I really like the paint scheme, the wheels and, well, everything about this car. Well done!
Very nice Vette. The purists of late have calmed down. Just look at the prices restomod Corvettes are bringing. I think even Bloomington Gold is going to have a category for them. Good job guys!
I want to know how much I need to save. If I have a C3 and want a new drivetrain and a ls3. Ballpark? No breaks, wheels or anything, strictly drivetrain and engine
We're happy to chat with you to learn more about your C3 and your expectations and some considerations for LS swaps in these cars. If you don't mind, can you fill out the form at www.v8speedshop.com/contact so we have a way to reach you? Thanks!
