This has my attention locked in!!! Brand new Racon Fiber 30 Watt with 175, 300 and 70 lenses. That's as far as I have really gone with it. A few small projects, no deep engraved though.
awesome video as always. What I am hoping for (and have submitted a few requests to Lightburn) is ART LIBRARY dropdowns like what the material library does. It would be so helpful if I can have a "Christmas" library and under that I have Ornaments, Grinch, Elf etc. as dropdowns. As it is now, I have to have a library for each group of images.

I have been working with Lightburn for quite some time now, and version 1.5 is the first update that I have actually been looking forward to in a while. Hi Hobby guy! What i doing wrong? When i'm trying to trace image, evetything goes all right to the purple line, but when i klick "ok", nothing happened. Like i was done nothing..?!? I have Light burn trial version, Lightburn 1.5 (don't have laser machine just yet). Another question: I'm going to buy Ikier K1 24-48w machine, do i choose G-code controller version? Please help me!! Thanks for the preview Rich - something to look forward to. By the way the clocks we have in the UK have 12 markers at 5 minutes intervals. (5 x 12 = 60) not 10. 😊
Hey Rich great video as always. While watching your video I'd switch into LB and try that feature. Messing around with the guideline feature I decided to check if it could be rotated like in AI & Aspire, well son of a billy goat! It works you have the ability to rotate the GL any angle you want. Nice upgrade LB thanks.
I just got my laser around Christmas. I downloaded the lightburn 30 day trial before even getting my laser to learn the ropes. Well I got broke before I payed for my lightburn license, and had to get an extension, which also expired before I got paid! And I had to suffer through like 10 days of no lightburn! It REALLY sucked! The laser is amazing, but is essentially worthless without Lightburn! At least unless you are some kind of gcode guru or something! I'm sure glad to have my lightburn license!
Rich, You know... I downloaded v1.5 and the next day the programme crashed, first time ever. And 2 days later I see v 1.5.1 download is out. Kind of scared to download this now.
I have an Xtool S1 with the auto air assist unit with 7 settings (Auto, Off, 1,2,3,4,5) . Lightburn will turn it on, but it is on the low (1) power setting only. A feature that would allow control of the level of air assist by layer would be really great. Any insight into lightburn support for this?
Highly doubtful. The air assist you have is manually controlled with a variable resistor. Grbl M7 & M8 commands control simple on/off relays. Lightburn is Grbl sending program, and can't do more than Grbl can.
Yeah Tony, that was Dimitry's version, and it's off by a lot. I'm finishing up a 10, 20, 30W combo library now, but it's taking time since I have to verify ever one of the settings on the laser. That's a lot of work!
Hi Rich. Would you consider making a video of the back of your coins and how you line them up do you just leave them plain or do you make them the same as the front with raised letters I’ve mess so many up though not aligned. Yes I am a fussy log git. 😂😂😂
Am I the only one who encounter an issue with the latest update? My laser was no longer able to cut the same as using previous version. I am using 5w Diode laser and it suppose to be able to cute 3mm basswood using speed 200mm/m and power 100% in 1 pass. In the latest update, my laser cannot cut the material with the same settings. I had to do it now in 2 passes or lower the speed down to 150mm/m. I resolved the issue by reinstalling the previous version.
Hey Rich, Love your videos. But if as you say you make a bunch of clocks, I hope you put that circular array in as 12 points and not 10 as you did in the video 😂

Sure Jack! Draw a square, and then select it, and click, Tools --> Warp selection in 4-points. The 4 corners will now be blue dots. Hold Shift and drag in one of the corners!
how do you have you set where when you pick fill it shades that letters. mine dont change if i put line/fill it just shows lines is there to change that?
Hi Rich, I’m super new to Laser anything. Your videos are super helpful. I currently run an embroidery shop. We’re planning on adding laser engraved patches mostly for hats. What version of Lightburn would work with the Wecreate vision ? From what I see in this video I could really use some of the features for embroidery designs as well. Ok. I am new to this whole light burn thing, so if some of my questions seem weird, I'm sorry, So, here I go. I installed light burn 3 days ago. After the first day it says there was a new update 1.5 something available for install. So, I did it. While right afterwards the colored tiles on the bottom of the screen vanished. How do I get those back? I'm still under its trial version. If this is how Lightburn is now will it be worth paying for? I still haven't done my first print of materials test yet.
now im on V1.05.01 for last three motnhs and have not done any product to sell other than solving problems coming out each and every time i start doing a product ....sad, i'm using creality falcon 2 20w.
V 1.5.01 has only been out for 2 weeks not Bella, and V 1.5 before that only a month. If you're having problems with the software, it's likely your device settings are wrong. Copy them from the owner's manual.
Great video thank you. When I update my lightburn, does it erase all my settings and libraries, or do they stay untouched? I've never updated mine obviously.
Thank you for all you do for us with your videos! Do you have a cut library for the WeCreat? I am a member on your website and this is the one laser I was not able to find.
I've used it 4 times with perfect results. You need to have all fields filled out accurately, and choose the right orientation. So if my graphic's top is on the left side of the screen (rotated to the left), I choose Object Top is: Left. Fill out the T, L & B measurements, and it works like a charm.
It's out now, Friday 9th February, I downloaded Lightburn to a second PC and it was V1.5. The version on my laptop also prompted for an update to V1.5 when I opened Lightburn. Thanks for your videos they've proved a great help in getting my set up running but I'm still very much on the lower end of the learning curve...!!
Looking forward to these new features. Thanks for the review. Though this may not be the proper forum, I have a newbie problem. I was working in circular array. I drew a long narrow rectangle and wanted it to rotate around its center point to create a Sun ray looking object. The first time I performed it, it worked as I wanted. After playing around with circular array awhile, I must have modified a setting in it, and now when I try to recreate the original design. The rectangle instead of rotating around its own center point it is rotating around some other center point far away. I feel stupid in asking this but how do I get it back to rotating on the rectangles own center point? Ps what is the proper forum for asking questions like this?

The thing that really bothers me about the material test is that once you generated it should pop out like shape, it annoys me that it goes to the center of the working bed because my bed is 1000mm by 1300mm.
You need to set the X & Y centers to place it where ever you want! Lightburn, by default, places it in the direct center of your work area. If you have a 10 x 10 count of 5mm squares for example, if you set the X & Y centers both to 50, it will work in the origin corner (extra room added for the text).
It’s frustrating to watch some other videos and see them teach how to use lightburn and not knowing the program them selves and it’s amazing features.You have the most informative videos and easiest way to learn from. I appreciate how much you progressed my learning by watching. Thank you so Rich!

I saw a new 1.5 feature video and they also showed the ability to change the radius without getting out of the radius and getting back in with the new settings.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy - I like to frame the outline of the part personally. It helps me position my part accurately. Now I have to remember to turn off output of my "frame" as it wastes time following something power is set too low/slow to cut. What actual use is T1 & T2 anyway??
