Simulacrum Synthesizer's incredibly busted, and it was the first Mythic I wanted to craft when OTJ dropped, with Ancient Cornucopia being the second. It's incredibly busted when it goes unchecked. While Azorius and Izzet have the best access to maintaining it, I've seen a Simic version and tried a Dimir build, but I need to go back to the drawing board with it. Love the deck, the game play, and as always, your commentary! Hope you and the Mama Malone are doing great and made your voices heard by voting! Have a great one. 🤘🎃
I can understand what Wizards wanted to finally make something to make Powerstone (the weakest Mechanic of Brothers' War) finally worth playing on Standard (and even Historic since even the buffs they gave to the deck in Alchemy (Brothers' War is going to Rotate when Bloomburrow) were not enough to make it playable). But Simulacrum Synthetizer is a little too much powerful for a Non-Legendary Artifact
Great deck man! I'd consider making it rotation proof chaning the Fading hope with Machine over matter (you might lose the scry but hey return nonland permanent) and the burn down the house with Temporal firestorm. :D
Synthesizer is sooo Diagusting! Did you make sure you showered after that one Malone? I mean you can tell a card is completely busted when people in modern and legacy start playing with it immediately after it comes out! I know good Malone hates this card, so this must be evil malone who made the video huh?
Yeah, -/- could have killed it, but he didn't have enough. Needed -8/-8 at least to kill him at that point. Didn't matter since opponent had the Shore Up though.
love this deck played it lost every game woot i hate this game as i have only bad luck in my life and get shit draws no matter what deck i play love the deck hate the shuffler and game anymore. thankfully its free
Synthesizer is what makes the deck. Skitterbeam on its own is meh, 3 2/2s for 4 mana isn't horrible but hardly wins the game on its own, e.g it gets stonewalled by a single Sheoldred. But together it's way too spicy for other decks to handle, it's pure madness. Honestly I cannot believe that the Synthesizer effect isn't restricted to "only triggers one a turn" like so many other triggered abilities in this set, it would make the card reasonable, not completely busted. Brotherhood's End is the obvious answer to that deck, and I guess control does have access to Get Lost and March to handle it along with board wipes, but fair decks like golgari midrange have zero hope to beat this.
17:45 😆😆😆😆😆 What was that? Couldn't stand the fact that the constructs could crush you no matter what Tamyo could do to help you? That's what happens when you threw that Counterspell that could have saved your butt opponent. Now accept defeat and get outta here! 18:47 ???? Is this Boros Rebellion (aka Boros Equipment)? 19:21 Nope, is the same boring Boros Convoke as always. But with the Jitte. Man! How much asking i need to do so people bring Boros Rebellion to the forefront again (or for people to stop playing the same boring Boros deck)? 😩😩😩😩😩 23:21 Bien dicho, amigo mío (well said, my friend in Spanish). Boros Convoke is so annoying and so boring. And the worst thing about it is that this Deck will come out mostly unscathed from Rotation (since almost every single card that deck uses is from the sets that are not going to Rotate out come Bloomburrow) so we'll have to endure another year with this Deck in Standard (or go to Alchemy to simply stop seeing this freaking deck all the time, just like with Mono Red during the last year) unless they decide to ban a lot of those cards (too unlikely since WotC cares for Paper more than Arena) 25:50 Well, there we go! The Combo has been archieved! Now opponent, better pray the Multiversal Gods that your next card is a Sunfall or a Farewell. If not? You better accept defeat because there's no way you can survive 6 freaking supercharged 12/12 Constructs 26:14 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆Oh dear! He did right by leaving! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆Holy Smoked Bacon! Who in WotC thought the Simulacrum Synthetizer was a good idea? I understand they wanted to give Powerstones (in Standard) and Affinity (in Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, Explorer, Historic and Timeless) a major boost in power so the finally become playable again (if it ever did become that). But Man! They went Overboard again! And you know the best (or worse) part about it? That there's no way they can nerf it for Historic so this card can only be banned or restricted 28:54 Hey Malone! Careful of what your saying because it can bite you back. Colorless Card Draw Engines and Colorless Mana Rocks are not something to tread lightly with and Bandit's Haul is both things at the same time 44:04 Wha?! Why did you target the Construct with the Prayer of Binding (who plays that nowadays by the way?), opponent? You should have went for the Simulacrum Synthetizer!
UW version of this strategy, that does include Urza, is flat out better than this red version. UG version I believe is better but haven't tested enough to say. All red gives you is redundant board wipes. That's ok. But not needing board wipes is better, and your board DEMANDING your opponent has board wipes is even better. UW and UG versions both do that, UW version does it and also still has board wipes... better ones too. If you see Boros and think you need red mass destruction to deal with them: First try this strategy mono blue but artifact focused--you should be outrunning AND overpowering Boros without even trying. Prowess? 1/1 soldier tokens? Fucking weak weenie shit. Artifacts that care about artifacts are just plain bigger and faster. Meet 5 1/1's with 4 2/2s, 2 3/3s, and 3 4/4s.
Plus the up side of these colors is just more explosive and cool with Skitter Beam. If you are going to play a busted card then at least do it in a fun and unique way. Unless you are trying to rank or win comps@MasterOfMonoBlack
