So disappointing that even in the Anniversary edition they didn’t add the cut arena or expand the college of winterhold. I thought that the community would have really appreciated that

So, you can go to Solstheim anytime apparently lel, in retrospect I feel like I knew that back in the day but I’ve been playing with alternate start for so long I assumed going their early was only through that. May have also conflated going to solstheim with starting the Dragonborn quest-line (which needs way of voice quest done). ANYWAYS Enjoy the new stuff :P
About the meteor hitting Vivec City I play eso and the meteor doesn't hit the city because you restore Vivecs divinity does the meteor hit it later on or are the events in ESO false?
I just wish that Bethesda or the CC would release a College of Winterhold update, adding in the cut content and filling it out to what it was supposed to be.
Not going to happen, since that would require actual effort and we are talking about Bethesda after all. Best they can do is taking existing mods and reselling them.
@@vahlen5281 CC content has a lack of anything requiring voice acting (like a guild questline) because Bethesda would have to chase up voice actors from several countries who are probably not available after a decade since they worked on the game in order to get them to reprise their roles as certain characters so that it would be available in all the languages that Skyrim is out in, even getting the english voice actors back would be a hard job to do and we would end up with characters that have 2 voice actors if Bethesda decided to go on with it

Seeing that putting the Ash Mask on looks like the FudgeMuppet logo, I think Scott, Michael, and Drew should declare themselves the New Tribunal. Scott is Vivec, Drew is Sotha Sil, and Michael is Almalexia. They could even get masks.
"Happens after the cultists attack you." Has muppet never tried to go to Solstheim before the Dragonborn questline starts? Nothing stops you. Heck Gjalund even has no problems bringing you there before that because no cultists have mind-controlled him yet.
Sure but certain quests have strange triggers. For example, the quest to fetch Mjoll’s sword Grimsever requires you to level up after gaining her favor in order to get the dialogue option to start it. This one only starts where the Dragonborn DLC main quest begins it seems

They release their games every 3-4 years and are on schedule with Starfield. They have multiple studios that have different focuses, they now have the resources of Microsoft, and for creation club that stuff is made by modders with the assistance of Bethesda. Throwing more people and energy isn't going to make it come out sooner. They will still release the game 3-4 years after Starfield with the possibility of it coming out within one year after the normal 3-4 year release cycle. More resources, if used effectively, leads to two outcomes: the game is released quicker or the game's scope is increased to compensate. The latter is the option Bethesda is most likely to choose.
So right off the bat: you don’t need to be attacked by the cultists to go to Solstheim. At level 1 you can go to the docks and buy a ride there, no prerequisites needed
As someone who role plays as a Dunmer who is one of the last bloodline members of House Dagoth, and knowing that this can be done in multiple ways, this tickles my fancy more than I ever thought possible.
As someone who is very interested in the Tribunal but when i first read the lore got weirded out by Vivec and his 36 Lessons I can say this whole storyline was amazing to sit through. I kinda wish it was in the base game so that people 10 years ago would be interested in the lore of Vivec and his weird stories and think of reading or playing though the older game to learn more
I don’t see the value in paying ANOTHER $15 for an 11 year old game that I already have 3 versions of. THAT BEING SAID. I love you guys and your channel so much! Congratulations on the 1 mil! It’s free on gamepass or whatever on Xbox. An it will be free soon for PlayStation now, so those are options if your on console. An your right it is crazy how they’ve grown to where a million freaking people are turning to there channel an they are still the same, it’s rare.
It’s even worse if you still have the vanilla 2011 edition like me, I own all the DLC’s but it’s still a full $50 to update and the only new content is the creation club stuff

This has been explained before by Bethesda. I believe they said all the official CC content is considered "canon" unless declared otherwise when it was released.
I don't really care about the canon too much. There's a ton of myths, lies, legends, propaganda and other crazy stories. Even our own playthroughs seem unprobable and fantastical, so just believe in what you think is true, that's what everyone in TES does.
@@Zeddem Yep, that's why I put canon in quotation marks because Bethesda has never declared an official set canon of the lore that's like written down in a book. It's so that they can retcon stuff without too much contemplating or worrying. That's exactly why they created Dragon Breaks and time warps like during the Interregnum etc. It's so that they even have in-lore explanations for when they contradict themselves or want to implement huge changes. Though their "canon" products would basically be all the media that's officially licensed by Zenimax/Bethesda like the Single Player and Online games and novels etc. I think.
The three of you should pair up with a modder to provide voice over for this quest. You should go talk to Joseph Russell, the mod author to Lucien. He also provides a great tutorial on how to add voice, your voice, to a follower or quest in game.
@@redomer91 Heck whole vanilla game has bad voice acting and over use voices, every other npc is nick valentine and use same voice lines even if they are different named ppl. At least it isn't oblivion bad voice acting.

I love the loot and some of the lore added about the reformation of the tribunal temple. But i Absolutely hate the lore implications in regards to the naravarine somehow losing hopesfire and trueflame, and in regards to the sharmat and heart of lorkan.
I like this CC Mod, because it give my Snow Elf character lore. (One Snow Elf family who saved by Almalexia once, and later Snow Elf Dragonborn allow Tribunal worshipper live.)
I prefer your ideal Skyrim video. I mean alduin could still be in it like as if the Dominion embassador uses ancient Nord magic to become an aspect of alduin. It ties in with the faction Martin septim became a aspect of akatosh. And to be honest there is more context in the system running of that storyline.

Also the prophecy in Morrowind that marked him as Nerevarine. "Neither blight nor age shall harm him, curse of Flesh before him flies". He cannot age, and he cannot die from disease.
If you do it by the books, the one difference is you get to keep those 4 characters you had to combat as companions. You can snatch their weapons by asking each one to follow you, etc
I remember my first Morrowind run through, i was a lvl 60 imperial vampire, already cursed with the doom prophecy since lvl 20 something, but i restarted as a dunmer and actually did the main quest and had so much more immense respect for Morrowind, years of being called outsider only to find i end up the main hero, thats how immersive Morrowind is and will forever be the best ES ever.

You can go to windhelm and pay for passage to solstheim with or without doing the main quest for anybody wondering. Might align with your role-playing better
Personally, I am not a fan of the Dunmer style of weapons and armor and was familiar with the new look of it from ESO. So I was a little reluctant of doing this content. Eventually I gave it a shot and after reading the Blacksmith's Dossier; the exact words that came out of my mouth were "Alright, I'm interested." Turns out it was a good story arc with nostalgic rewards from Morrowind days and it gives you a choice on whether you want to take the long route or the shortcut (kill everyone) and you still get all the rewards. I joined my goddess from ESO after all, BLOOD FOR THE PACT!
What I love about this cult is that even if I eventually don't Wang to jojn them I still do at first, because its members can serve as followers, which means I can take one with me to Boethiah's altar! And the rest can become food for the Ebony Blade. No more fooling around about what follower to sacrifice; because now we have our answer. 😊
The books are my favorite part of this universe to be honest this quest makes me want to actually get the anniversary edition lmfao my lord bethesda has done it to me again. Love the videos mate they are the only reason I play in 2021
Honestly with all the bad press about rockstar screwing up GTA no is mad at Bethesda for releasing the same game again. At least horse armor is free now
Who knows maybe they are taking notes from Rockstar. I mean almost 9 years an still have hundreds of thousands of players and are making millions. Can’t really blame Bethesda for trying to hop on that idea.
You can go straight from helgen to the docks and buy passage to solstiem at level 1 but of course you'd be weak asf and not have enough money for the trip, but if you go direct to the ship captain who takes you, it can be done any time even before the cultists appear, that's just how the dragonborn main quest starts, the main quest won't activate on the island without that trigger even if you go to the temple of miraak, nothing happens
Its interesting to me that some modders are willing to get people to voice characters for their free original mods, yet official creation club mods be like "It's all in this note", does Bethesda not allow them to get people to voice act in their mods?
Actually yes there is something preventing them from adding additional voice content to the game. I can’t remember exactly what it was but if you watch ESO’s channel he went over the whole thing.
I believe the reason is localization, i.e they'd have to get several different voice actors in order to make sure the voice lines are in each language the game supports.

So fun fact: You don't need to be the Dragonborn to go Solstheim, you can pay the captain and he'll take there before you've even fought a dragon. Most of the quests are inaccessible, but you can still go there.
Being someone who forgoes the main quest, I usually take the ship to Solstheim long before I run into the cultists. I find the game more interesting when I disregard what the game (and, by extension, Bethesda) wants me to do.

Kinda outrageous that Bethesda is charging people for stuff like this. It’s not that i don’t like the stuff they added to “Vanilla” is just that it doesn’t seem fair that you need to pay for it. especially, when they keep releasing the same game over and over again…..

Nobody is mentioning it so i guess i will. If you dont distribute the letters instead of just giving it to the priest,on the Her Word Against theirs mission Ashsfalls tears wont be restored. Experienced this myself and couldn't figure out why till now.
Awesome video, but has anyone else been getting random ash zombie attacks after completing this? I completed this CC content almost exactly like it was shown in the video, and now I'm getting random ash zombie attacks every few in game days and they're not limited to Solstheim either.
This is the closest I'm going to get to morrowind. Still I put Hopesfire and Trueflame in my armoury but now that I know they are true dwemer artifacts I might roleplay a dwemer obcessed imperial who uses only dwemer artifacts and is a dwemer treasure hunter. I would also LOVE to have a big dwemer centric questlin. SUre we have forgotten season but I mean things like DUmac dwarfkings armour and crown, his weapons (if any) Kagrencs weapons (if any) and any other famous dwemer weapons and armour. Yeah, I REALLY like the dwemer. ANd aso thanks for providing the lore behind the weapons and armour. It was really interesting.
All i care about is cool new robes, and the Ancient Nord Dagger finally being introduced Now if they could give us ancient nord maces, warhammers, and shields..... Id be happier
Apparently they do have Ancient Nord/Nord Hero Maces and Warhammers unsure about the shield though. But yes that is the irritating thing that they never had those Ancient Nord/Nord Hero weapons like that in the base game. Check out ESOs stream here on RU-vid he is playing through Anniversary Edition and found Warhammer/Mace.

Can’t wait till a mod goes in and gives all the cc content actual stories and voice acting. The assets look great but WOW do they feel weird with the “ I will now talk to you through this note even though I am standing right here” thing. Was that like a legal thing? Bethesda wouldn’t allow voice actors or something?
On the one hand I really don't wanna buy another edition of Skyrim On the other hand, my Dunmer blood and my inner Morrowind fanboy may compel me to. How can I resist this content anyway? What a grand and intoxicating innocence.
A friend of mine started a little passion project, he wanted to mod Skyrims entire storyline to be on the same level of quality as the CC stuff. So he started by converting the entire main quest line, he mostly just remove voice acting and made all the main quest givers delivering everything via note. He said Helgen was kinda hard, because you can't read notes until Ralof unites your hands, but he seems to have a lot of fun.
Skyrim anniversary edtion be like "Yea just read about it, I aint voice acting any of this" But for real most of these notes seem very unnatural and non-diagetic

@@tawnymonarch4813 ya it definitely leaves a lot to be desired, I was definitely thrown back by it. I believe the voice acting had something to do with the localization and getting multiple actors together and the actual rights now that it’s part of Microsoft or something of that nature. But I mean half the people can’t even get the game to work to even read the notes so I guess I’m a way were lucky.
