Keep it up man, I just started about 3 weeks ago, practing in parking lot then go out in public road, and repeat and rinse keep it up and stay safe out there.
a tip for if you want more low speed maneuverability is to lean forward. try to lean forward as much as possible, and that'll give you a perspective where it's easier to tell if you are falling, and also will make the bike handle much easier. also practice practice practice U-turns, it's probably the skill that will teach you the most on how to maneuver your bike. also the msf website has a notebook on practice exercises! When I got my second bike it was a 1200 cc 520 pound triumph Bonneville t120, so it was really heavy feeling for the seat height and this is what a couple low speed competition riders told me about. I really like seeing new riders practicing what they learned on the course and being responsible. you're awesome for doing that!
What I would do for that incline would be to keep your front brake engaged while slowly letting the clutch out until you hear the rpms drop. Then keep the clutch where it is, and slowly release the brake lever to start rolling and then continue releaseing both the clutch and the brake to move up and over that hill.
Just squeeze the clutch into the friction zone and give it gas while it’s slowly moving uphill also straighten out your handle bars when you stop to maintain balance.
when taking your bike out of the garage, give it some gas if you want, but the friction zone alone if you let the clutch out slow enough should overcome that incline without the need of any throttle. even my ninja 250 can push itself without any throttle if you let the clutch out slow enough
really enjoy your videos, I'm taking my msf course at the end of the month! Any tips you would give to a new rider? also: What is your phone holder for it and what did you have to purchase to mount it? i love it and it would be useful!
Thank you!! Enjoy your MSF Course. I really loved mine. As a new rider, the biggest tip I have is to be vigilante and not get too confident too quickly. There is a fast ramp-up in your newbie skills, and you will feel really confident and able in a few days. But I think that's the danger point. Keep practicing and keep taking things at your own pace. My phone mount is the Quad Lock fork stem mount.
