I visited Somerset Park to watch Ayr United 0-2 Dundee in the Scottish Championship. Two goals from Luke McCowan secured the win for Dundee against his old club! #scotland #football #spfl
From an exiled Dundee fan who misses crazy away games in horrible weather at great old stadiums like Somerset Park - thank you very much for posting this, and for your enthusiasm! Keep up the good work!
Great video as usual …amazing atmosphere from the Dundee faithful ..hats aff to the Dundee south east section ultras making Dundee games the business 🇫🇷🍺
The Dark Blues march up the league continues. Great stuff against a good Ayr team. Very consitant from Dundee and losing very few goals Gary Bowyer has done a great job with Dundee so far. 👏👏👏
Nice to meet you last night - just after the final whistle. Also, thanks for allowing us the time for the photo with my daughter and the camera techie chat. Sorry you could not have seen a better, more fluid game - maybe next time. All the best for 2023!
Great vlog Sam. Fair enjoyed it. Ayr have their own vlogger- a kid called MattmanAUFC who has been making videos for a few seasons now. Shame you weren’t able to see him last.
@@darkbluenation9083 that wasn't my point though was it. It's the budget. Who's paying more wages than yourself? Not many in the league I'd guess on almost every position. You must get a huge surprise when Celtic win the league 😂
I'd love to visit Ayr once in my lifetime. I've heard some really good things about Ayr, it seems to be a lovely seaside town inhabited by many likeable people. And San Somerset looks like a gem as well. A proper, old-fashioned and lovely ground. Thank you for taking us there, Sam. Best regards, merry Christmas and a happy new year from Germany to all subscribers!
Aye you'll be made welcome there in Ayr it's a great little place to visit and stay, anywhere in Scotland though mate you will be made welcome in the warmest fashion, us Scots know how to welcome visitors to our beautiful land and you will not be an exception mate. Have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year with many blessings to yourself and family, from in the kingdom of Fife. 🏴🏴🐰🫶🙏
As a football Romantic Ive only ever been in the away end at Somerset and its a brilliant ground as an away fan. When the home crowd turn out they put on a show too!
From a season ticket holder at a new-build stadium, I really miss the sh#tty Archibald Leitch stands with their 500 coats of paint and how they rattle and groan in the wind. I also used to love the floodlights that moved. Great video, i'll be watching more
Wanna say from the whole of youtube sam merry Christmas and have a beautiful new years thanks again for the top coverage from the bottom to the top love ye lad all the best
I’m a Kilmarnock supporter but I have to say I’d love to see Ayr win the championship this season (if we stay up). The rivalry between the two teams hasn’t lived up to much in my lifetime and the highlight of my season last year was the Ayrshire derby away in Ayr.
Great video. Have been to Ayr a few times over the years following Dundees neighbours . Would love to see Ayr back at the top level. Living in Ireland it would be easy to get to. Have a great Christmas.Jim
With the Ayr United sending off it seemed to be for a second bookable offence and the referee came over to check with linesman that he had booked him earlier in the second half
As an engishman with strong Scottish roots and family being from ayshire I hope ayr do it! Already a soft spot for Kilmarnock even got a shirt from when I went to a game as a kid so to see ayr at the top would be excellent
Getting sent off when your team is top of the league and the opp is down to 10 men, is criminal. If that were me that dude would not be playing for me again.
LEE BULLEN the Ayr manager is a club legend at my club Sheffield Wednesday. He served as captain retired coached our youth team progressed up and was manager for us when pulls thank the lord got sacked. At this level and in premier lee bullen will get a team to premiership. GO ON BULLY SHOW YOUR CLASS MATE. UTO Wawwaw
I remember being 12/13 and going to my first away game at Ayr and after the game walking wee my dad and best mate coming back from the game a 30odd lad skelpt is over the hade with bottle and since then I’ve never went back to that manky ground! DundeeBoys!!🔵🔵🔵
Everything wrong with modern football in that statement. The fact a small club like Ayr United can’t stream their games because it might cost UEFA some viewers for Real MAdrid, Man Utd etc. Madness
excellent Dundee support , top league xmas and on the road to making all these west coast 'expert' pundits who didnt even mention us when predicting who'll win league look like deluded fools , Derry Boys on the march!!
Take a day off, it's only half way through the season and if the first quarter is anything to go by Dundee will squeeze 4th. Everyone hits form then it drops off.
Really don’t understand why so many fans act like every game is some sort of massive rivalry and enjoy the other team losing more than their team winning. Without Dipo we’d be 3rd bottom tbh and the better team won on the night. Our chances went when Musonda and Kirk got injured
It would have been brilliant if the Saudi Investment fund had decided to buy Ayr United! I’d have a dammed sight more respect for them if they had. All the world would have been right behind Ayr. Dundee fans would’ve deserved all that Saudi money also! The fact they didn’t invest shows a clear lack of imagination!
Dorset help Ayrs case when Dundee are one of the largest fouling teams in Scotland and the referee couldn't give less of a care in the world when he manages ayr games as him, along with his father (an ex referee) are die hard kilmarnock fans. You said it yourself the amount of unrequired cards was pathetic, like playing handicapped for every time he manages ayr games as a referee given he openly says he hates them.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful, happy new year Sam. Next year's going to be even better and bigger for you, I have no doubts about it mate this year has been great and thank you for all the hard work you do for our beautiful game. No one promotes all the aspects of Scottish Football from the Top to Bottom like Footy Adventures with Sam North. 🙌🫶🏴💯⭐
