The blue boxes were released when the movie was in theaters. The red boxes were released when the movie was released on vhs so tbey wwre basically the re-release.

I used to have that JAWS game and forgot all about it until I just seen it here. That is a total blast from the past that kicked in like a long lost friend. The Cyclops is REALLY COOL!!!!

I had D´Compose as a kid. Love that LAST UNICORN shirt. I ADORE the movie. It´s really a shame nothing has been done with it. I mean, I LOVE the animated one but would like to see what a modern version could look like.

I loved the Inhumanoids because they could interact with my 1970’s Godzilla figure. I got two of the big monster figures for that purpose but they are long gone now. Cool to see them represented here.

Oh man. I worked in a liquor department when the Austin powers shakers were out. Picked up a ton of them when they were clearanced out. They were the beverages of choice for a good while at the party house. Lol. Thanks for the flashback from the Chanchan!

I actually was able to visit the set of Hobbiton in New Zealand. The farm they built the set on left it up after filming and turned it into a tourist attraction, and it’s really cool and very beautiful. If you ever get a chance, you should go, I’m sure you’d love it.

As a kid I LOVED that Jaws game!.As a only child I tried to find games I could play myself..I do remember when the Jaws suddenly snapped shut it would scared the sh*t out a me though

I never knew my "Jabberjaws" shark toy I had as a kid was an authentic Jaws piece! I never even knew it was a game. We used it as a pool toy.

I had the Jaws game as a kid back in the 70’s. It was a light gray color but as we know in toy collecting colors vary during production runs so this could be an original as well. The mold having the original date could be bcs they simply found and used an original mold for the reissue. However, the date on the paperwork and box makes me believe it is an original. Either way its a very cool piece.

My brother had Tendril and one or two of the human characters from Inhumanoids when he was a kid. D'Compose was the freakiest looking one. Being older I had that JAWS game and the original Kenner Alien. Those two are long gone but, I still have my original AT-AT, AT-ST and figures from Star Wars. Recent pickups: Ultimate Hulk Hogan, Deluxe Black Series Boba Fett, 3.75" The Child, Zutton (Snaggletooth), Boba Fett and MEGO Stan Lee. I collect comics as well and picked up: Dark Horse Archives Savage Sword of Conan Vol. #16, 19 & 20 AND Marvel Omnibus Savage Sword of Conan Vol. #4.

I remember those Austin Powers shakers lol my mom had a few when I was a kid. I remember flying to visit her one summer when I was 16 and on the flight back I took the Dr. EVIL one and filled it with vodka and got drunk on the plain... turned out I was sat next to an off duty cop. He did know, but didnt make it a thing lol. Good times. Thanks for the memory!

I have those aliens.I took the chestburster ,cut a hole in a T-shirt,added some red dye and boom!Instant cosplay!its also just fun for pranking like leaving it in a cabinet at work haha.

I remember grabbing metlar and dcompose at goodwill a few years back for $5 a piece. Best ive ever done for toys at goodwill. Still have them and they are awesome figures!

The fading on that jaws box doesn't look 90s. I was born in 75 and I have a similar patina . Love your personality, so much fun. I think you enjoy these toys more than kids do lol

I've really been into lotr again lately, so those last couple items were pretty awesome... But nothing beats that giant Alien figure! I was pretty impressed when you opened it's jaws and the inner mouth came out. So bad ass. Always awesome pickups!

Nice Haul! I paid a ton for the Jurassic World Gift Set when it came out haha but I think those statues were originally advertised as bookends! A cool idea for a small book collection or even a Jurassic DVD Collection!

@Titus Telesco she consistently collects Jurassic Park, Willow, LoTR, 80s/90s cartoon properties, and fast food toys - I've seen her cover the JAWS, Alien, and Predator franchise as well. I wouldn't consider it random, just got a wide-net interest and clearly the space and finances to accommodate.

@Titus Telesco I've been watching her channel consistently for over a year now and I'd say she stays pretty much in lane with what I mentioned above, granted she is choosing to run a toy review channel so I would fathom that in of itself demands she broaden the scope of topics/lines she's gonna cover. And, yes, I am a collector - Skeletor (various lines), and Mezco Gomez are my main interest/focus.

I had that Jaws shark game. I mostly used the shark to eat my other action figures. He fought my Shogun Warriors Godzilla too. Mine way a light gray bought in the 70s.

Larua. This is sledgemaster. The shark that u have is original. If it was reissued then there would be a newer date plus. I have been collecting for 34 years. Believe me larua I would know. That is a good collection box and the shark looks excellent

I actually still have the original 1979 Alien figure, bought it new for $20 back then, one of the back spines is missing and the rubber holding the arms dried up so they fell of the body long time ago but still got them, I think the skull might still glow in the dark.

My brother and I had that JAWS game when we we were little, I seem to recall the shark was grey but that was 46 years ago (damn I'm old) so who knows for sure. We had fun playing and I hadn't thought of that game for decades. thanks for the memories.

JAWS: As far as I can tell, thats an original shark. The game was released again in 1989 I believe, but the color is a deep blue, and the box art is also completely different for the updated poster art for the sequels. There was a mold reissue and the shark was used for another game, "Sharkie's Diner" by Marx in 1997-ish? It is a more blue grey shark but its also alot more blue then the one you have. If there are variations of your shark, they might be due to mold defects or plastic change outs during production. But you can find spare shrks out there for cheap....if you want to catch them all haha. POKEMON: Speaking of, from what I can tell it was just two variations of colored box, Red and Blue, that was done just to entice people to buy more of the cards. I will say to have a complete red or blue match is more rare, as most collectors have a mixed batch of red or blue, but they all came from the same production line I believe. JURASSIC PARK: Fave item is def the cups. I grew up at Universal as a kid when the ride first premiered. Those cup toppers were all the rage, I have the core three from the opening of the ride, the spitter, and the raptor cup from the Lost world (Was a mail order cup). They would release other holiday variants of those toppers though if you want to hunt for them. There's a Halloween one, and a Easter one as well I believe. Alright, thats all I got. Cant wait to see your next big ticket item. ^_^

Great pickups, Laura. I like that Jaws the game box. The packaging on yours looks vintage but I’m guessing that the date stamp would help you determine if it’s the reissue version or not. For example, I know with G1 transformers, vintage figures were “generally” made in Japan and the reissues are made in China. Take care. Cheers M

Hey Laura, nice score on the Jaws game, that’s an awesome price for having a box in that good shape 😳 And congrats, you definitely DO have an original version of the game 😎👍🏼 The original by Ideal was a light blueish-green-gray color like you have. The reissued version you mentioned was by Just Toys and is a SIGNIFICANTLY darker blue color (see here: imgur.com/a/ZvSY643 ). The game was also later reissued by Ideal as “Sharkey’s Diner” with the shark in a plain light gray color. Hope this helps 🙂

My Metlar stands horribly too. Decompose stands even worse. Tendril stands great due to his "tails" . I finally hunted down all 3 after wanting them as a child for many years but my parents not buying the big 3.

Good stuff Laura! I'd love to get some of those Inhumanoid figures but they ain't cheap! I didn't know NECA did those Big Chap Alien figures. I do have the Super 7 Aliens figure that was meant to be a successor to the original one from Kenner. I think that one is 18 inches though. Anyhow, very cool haul video. There's so many great toys that I never knew about.
