Mother Love is another great one. Freddie didn't finish this one Brian had to, there's parts in it that will make you cry. Thank you for doing these reactions ❤
This is the third of what I call Freddie's Trillogy of Masterpieces. It starts with March Of The Black Queen then goes to Bohemian Rhapsody and finishes with Innuendo. If you listen to them one after the other you will hear how they sort of build off of each other and the seeds of the one to come appear in the one that came before. I hope that makes sense. I really love this song. Steve Howe (Yes Band) joins Brian for the Spanish guitar portion of this song. Steve thought Queen was crazy to include him in the title track of their album and he was actually concerned that he would not be able to pull it off but as you heard, with a little bit of rehearsal, he totally nails it. This video won the top prize for the most creative video the year it was released. It is so elaborate and interesting and all those formats are just mind bending. Thank you again for allowing us to see someone hear these great songs for the first time. It is so refreshing.
The final album in Freddie lifetime, but he left material behind and said they could do what they want with it. They bought out Made In Heaven in 1995 with some of the songs Freddie had recorded with just a drum machine, he kept writing and recording bits and pieces until a couple of months before he passed away
Innuendo music video won the Monitor Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music Video Production!! Melody Maker writer, Ian Gittins, considered the song to be Bohemian Rhapsody Vol. II and described it as “seductively monstrous”. David Quantick of NME described it as a “spectacularly tossy rock anthem”. Queen commented it was their tribute to Led Zeppelin!!!
The first time I watched this I did not like it at all. But I have come to love it and appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is. Wonderful performance by the band.
Dang, Please take care of yourself and feel better soon! We don't want you feeling so lousy! Get yourself lots of rest, vitamin C, chicken noodle soup and lots of Queen..lol Seriously, I hope you feel better soon.
When they were making the Innuendo album Freddie was ill and progressively worse. They did make a number of music videos for the singles. Freddie was only well enough to appear in 3 out of the 5 singles. This one being animated and The Show Must Go On a compilation of clips from gigs and other videos. Freddie was physically in Headlong, I'm Going Slightly Mad and These Are The Days Of Our lives (his final on-screen appearance)
