Oh I agree it's fantastic fun when it works haha, I'm still hoping Darwin can offer a solution, the unfortunate thing is my email has not been replied to yet
I’ve had a couple of babyapesPro IIs which have had similar problems. Great drones but they can be very frustrating. I had to reflash the firmware to get them restarted. Given I had 2 of them with the same problem I think it’s a common thing. Will be interested to see what Darwin have to say. Great video BTW👍👍
It's been a week and a half without reply, I'll try and flash it tomorrow as it's genuinely so much fun to fly, fingers crossed! Thanks for your thoughts
Have you tried reflashing betaflight? My experience with having 3 of these aio boards is that the code in the memory seems to get scrambled if you run the battery low at all, all 3 of the ones I've had do that, but if you reflash betaflight and set it up again the seem to work untill you run the battery low again, but i don't think you got a lemon, i think you got a normal one, a lemon might actually work correctly... 😂
@@DigitalCruzer lol at the lemon working comment. Yeah I flashed it with about 27 diffrent builds, Darwin replied and I've got an nice little update coming haha
Great review. Been waiting to see one on this little guy for a couple weeks now, and sorry to see it's been troublesome. Hopefully Darwin gets back to you and is able to resolve. I would guess you just got a defective unit. Will wait for an update before I make a purchase decision
@@Wind_Rapport thanks man. Genuinely is a hoot to fly, super enjoyable, even if the landing takes a bit of time to finesse. I agree I suspect the gyro has an issue so will likey need a new FC and all the soldering work that comes with that. I didn't want to release this video until I'd heard back but I have some many videos up coming I didn't have much choice but if it's resolved I'll let everyone know and likey do a further review too. Thanks again
Such a shame I had high hopes for this one after seeing the maiden flight. Problem is the cost I think, cheap parts are more prone to failure. If I was you I would strip the frame and rebuild with better parts and it would make a great pocket cinematic ripper 👍( O3 Sandwich 🤣)
@@BMFPV we can re brand it to the squadding Quads lunchtime ripper 💪. I think your right the gyro is listed as the 6500,never heard of that one before at all. Hopefully Darwin will reply to my email, eventually.
@@markwilliams5654 ice tried it on a test with zero movement raised the timing and the moron threshold but it still has the same error, ultimately, I'm pretty sure it's defective sadly
DarwinFPV is the absolute definition of "you get what you pay for." they fly great after you replace the FC/ESC/RX and then shortly after all that, the MOTORS.
@@squaddingquads ah, I mean that's the harsh reality with DarwinFPV, they don't make good quality products, heard so many reports of them setting on fire, one of my stacks blew up, I don't think I will buy from them ever again tbh
