//LAUNCH OPTIONS// -high -dev -forcenovsync +fps_max 0 -eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json +mat_disable_fancy_blending 1 +r_drawparticles 0 *Explanations* -high - puts the game at high priority by your CPU. Enhances performance. -dev - Removes the intro video of apex. (Quicker launch.) -forcenovsync - Pretty self explained. Removes v-sync. -eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json - Sets the game to run in DirectX12. The last 2 is basically graphic settings, super small impact on fps if you have a high end pc. Try them if you want.

If you just installed Windows after the advice in the video and Apex Legends on a clean system, make sure you remove the flash drive. The Apex anti-cheat (or the game itself) has a quirk of checking the flash drive for cheats or other nonsense, which fails and will eventually force Apex to close. I'm writing this because I've encountered this problem myself recently

How do I put my game in dx11 mode though? It auto starts on dx12 and I'm curious if that is my problem on why my game keeps crashing after I load into the lobby after loading the shaders..

Pretty sure you want the fall backs at 4 because if you go into game video settings and put them on low it hits 3 so Im assuming 4 is disable

As someone who has played the game at a pro level, these settings always help me, however for some reason (I play controller on PC), when playing specific resolutions or on DX12 and other changes, they seem to mess up how the game's aim assist works and it feels extremely strange. I wonder why,

Hi ... i am running a RTX3080TI on an MSI Motherboard .. and i needed a little time to understand that MSI is not MSI :-) but i checked it on the Way wich was told at the Website and found out that my card was running in IRQ -47 with MSI Aktive .. ( i am German and 64 and needed the time because You speak very fast ... my brain sometimes took to long to simultan translate Your Voice in realtime :-)

Really enjoyed the video and I’ve been waiting for an updated version, Ty a lot but I do have a question, in apex I personally enjoy playing on stretched resolution (my native is 1920:1080 (16:9 on the other thingie) but I use 1680:1050 (16:10 on the other thing), how can I still squeeze out fps out of my pc without either changing up my res too much or having the black bars at the side of my screen?

I also have another question, in the firing range my fps spikes up to 140+ usually but ingame it can drop down to 90 and less sometimes, what should I cap my fps to? I usually can’t reach my monitors refresh rate in actual games and I’m trying to figure out how to boost my fps to a more consistent 100+ fps if that’s even possible. Thank you for the good videos tho and keep it up!

Just use a slightly lower 16:10 resolution (if you are GPU limited this will increase FPS)

@@Denden_The_BananaMan this could be CPU limited if happening in online games, I would cap at 90fps and see how you get on, consistent FPS, smooth FPS is better than high FPS spikes. You would also greatly benefit from using freesync/gsync on your setup to ensure the lower FPS will then auto sync with your refresh rate to be smoother :)

i have a problem where i followed your guide where configs were still a thing, so there was the setting where it set my video settings to something every time launch the game, even if I changed it to something else in game. Not sure how to fix it, and its kinda annoying me cause it keeps putting all my video settings to the lowest. Any fix or guide?

No need to adjust latency settings as reflex overrides this and does a better job, as you are using gsync AND reflex, you don't need to cap your FPS as reflex will cap for you at 225fps :)

my best guess for this is because your machine is overheating, the cause of ur game dropping way down to 10 is because when your system is overheating the clock rate of ur cpu/gpu is going down (in order to reduce the heat produced). try using software like throttlestop or afterburner. if it does not work try to replace your thermal paste+pads
