debloated my idle temp went down 5 degrees i know i coldnt believe it either in hi end games i used to hit around 65c now i vary from 58 to 61 i haven't hit 65 again so theres something in that bloatware that uses resource or more spy crap who knows
Hogwarts Legacy is actually somewhat of an okay experience now, I have a 4090, 5900X and 32gb Ram and the game was an absolute stutterfest, but it's actually okay now. I usually debloat my driver, but I disabled a few extra things this time and I'm not bothering with GeForce Experience and Shadowplay anymore, I'd rather my games run smooth than have the ability to record videos which I only do maybe once every few months if I see a funny glitch.
Been having a constant half second stutter in Apex every 7 or so seconds, unplayable. Followed this video start to finish, not only fixed the stutter completely, but I got a boost of around 12 fps. Thank you so much for this!
yeah i also having micro stutters on apex, but if u just uninstall the gforce experience it's being fixed. but i like gfroce experience for recording clips etc. that's sucks.
@@edjonhadley1 my games already in ssd , it's not my system either i let my windows install nvidia it did install way older driver but everything was butter even while recording 4k videos while playing. but newer game can ahve some issues with it so.
@@Morningstar-.- the issue is the telemetry. If you disable it, it removes the CPU spikes of the nvidia container = no more microstutter in every game. You can still use xbox for clips it's good and not as bloaty as geforce experience
Just a heads up for anyone running W11 with smart app control on. (Smart app requires an internet connection to verify installation from Nvidia. There is no internet in Safe mode and for whatever reason Safe mode with networking F5 doesn't not want to work, spent hours looking for a workaround trouble shooting . So you will not be able to NVC debloat install from safe mode the (2ND step) so before using the DDU in safe mode pause windows updates and then run the final install after the reboot in normal mode since windows won't look for drivers being temporarily disabled. *Note this worked on my notebook that also has an Intel integrated GPU
I just upgraded to a new PC from a laptop, this is my first time having a full desktop gaming pc, as well as my first time being able to have a 40 series, I found your videos while doing research in trying to max performance, and ill be trying these methods asap!
One of the best things you can do is to unpark your cores. Don't push gfx settings too high if you're on a low to mid tier set up but instead rely on consistency. OC your CPU if you can too but unpark your cores!
@@sigmamale4147 You'll want to look a bit further into what windows actually does in it's varying states of demand & CPU cycles, especially gaming. Because you're actually quite wrong.
Hi there, very big thank you. I own a i7 12700 kf and a 3080ti. Because reasons i use a 4k samsung Tv wasnt cheap quite good ms. To play Hunt Showdown liquid i used a 2500x???? window mode at around 140 fps. 4k goes but 50 to 60 fps and "feels" kinda sad. I like to do some clips for fun use not content creating and i am happy i can play now full screen 4k at 95 to 110 fps. And the feeling is fine total liquid. That was awesome and i cant belive its true having such an fps increase only debloating the latest driver. Even the mic is loud again just because i kicked experience out of it. gonna try odb soon. So man it works and thanks and i even did not reset the Nvidia Control Panel recommened setting after its new install. Win11 installed NCP unasked and automaticly by the way. You are slapping the driver developers right in the face^^ Of course i subscibed.
I still remember watching this guy play Rust legacy. Fucking amazing content, got me into a 4000 hour deep binge of the game, why’d he delete the videos?
Followed this 1:1. Bricked my shit after it forcibly restart once drivers were installed. Couldn't even boot into bios, no output from my pc and wasn't even detecting the gpu. Switched my hdmi output from my gpu to my motherboard and did a clean install of regular nvidia drivers from there, and then got to use my fucking pc again. Don't even want to blame this guy honestly probably something to do with my system but damn that had me scared.
Yeah, because you forgot to select the 2nd option instead of the 1st when installing the debloated driver. Always take your time and double-check if it really is 1:1 next time! ;)
You do not "own your windows forever"... you buy a key that acts as a activator of a software that in its license it specifies that Microsoft "lends" the software for you to use... not to own.
When I use this program, Nvcleanstall I can't watch Amazon Prime Video in the best resolution. It says "your video will play in standard definition because your hardware HDMI cables and display must all meet content protection"
This is old but it's because you ticked the disable HDCP option in the tweaks. It's needed for content protection for some content providers like netflix or when watching bluray.
No, it's pretty unnecessary actually. It's been shown time and time again in tests that using Geforce Experience to download new drivers does NOT create any sort of issues. Even in the long run. Using DDU to manually uninstall drivers and then manually installing new drivers is completely unnecessary nowadays with modern computers and drivers. You really do NOT need to go through this entire process.
Hi. Installed debloated drivers. Gon no Nvidia control panel. No pb. Ran benchmarks. Saw decent increase. Installed Nvidia control panel, lost all gains :D
Loved using NVCleanInstall when I had my 2070, however now I have switched to the 7900XTX I am unsure how to debloat the drivers. Is there an equivalent to NVCleanInstall for AMD?
@@TheJustifier17 Unless you start ticking boxes randomly there is literally next to 0 risk involved with NVCI, and if it does "go wrong" you just re-install a new driver :)
Followed the guide and resulted in PC running slower and games having horrible stutter. Even after the reinstall of the driver it's self still have stutter issues with windows and slowing. Wouldn't recommend.
It could be that the new driver itself has issues. Sometimes they release bad drivers, so it is a good idea to keep a copy of your last stable driver in order to reinstall it if the new one introduces issues. Edit: You don't even have to keep your previous stable driver on file; you can just write down the version ( before installing the new one) and re-download it if you don't want to keep it on file.
few questions - should i use DDU to remove AMD I-GPU drivers (7800x3d) - should i disable said I-GPU in bios as i have a D-GPU Ive already made the debloated drivers and waiting on advice for these questions
Fair warning for those like me with custom color settings and Control Panel Settings. Doing a "Clean Installation" will wipe your presets and you'll need to redo all of them. Obviously, "clean" implies this in hindsight, but on the off chance this ends up doing nothing to improve your FPS and stability, you'll have an incredibly annoying headache to deal with that you didn't prior to this guide.
@@FreshPanda97 It depends on your monitor, unfortunately. I'd recommend looking up your specific monitor's model name and looking for pre-configured profiles like that!
WIN + R / Msconfig / Boot / Boot options / Safe boot / Minimal. Way easier method to go into safe boot ;) Then do the same thing to disable it when on Safe Boot
in settings of DDU you can disable auto updates for drivers by windows, as another alternate, i do this and works everytime, but its all on preference :)
I was just about to say the same thing, then i saw your post ;-) it would have been nice to show any difference (FPS) between the two normal and de-blotted drivers, but ill give this a go .
Why do I never see video's linked on the screen or have a card in the top right? Also I'm not seeing any links in the description for the Control Panel or the other things mentioned. I see the spot for the links but none of them are there.
I did everything you said and now my drivers aren't working, every game I try opening says theres an issue with the drivers. I tried installing fresh drivers like you suggested in the video and the error still persists... please help because I'm unable to play anything... :(
perform clean instalation option doesnt clean any old driver files or anything, it just deletes any custom profiles you have set up via the driver panal or nvidia ProfileI nspector. recommend not ticking at all unless you want to set all that up again.
Everybody is different in understanding things and has different levels of energy , fluency etc. so yeah it may be fast for some people i feel the voice is a tiny bit fast compared to any other youtuber of ny type
nah hes a bit fast, for people that don't often play with this stuff. its a little hard to keep up, you just gotta look at it from a third person perspective and you will understand.@@gry6664
After starting in safe mod, when i try to open "display driver uninstaller" it tells me that the system cannot access to this folder, what should I do?
So much of this video is completely unnecessary and makes no performance difference. There's nothing wrong with just downloading NVIDIA drivers directly and selecting clean or custom install for what you want without all the other third-party software risk and processes crap as is suggested in this video.
Oh my god i cant thank you enough, for example in phasmophobia i got lag spikes and everything and like 40-60fps now i have 70-90fps!! 😮👍😀 (Wow this sounds like a bot comment LoL😅 almost my first time commenting on youtube)
Thank you for providing these excellent how-to videos. You thoroughly cover the options and explain the 'why' as appropriate. Anyone asking about DIY Windows and driver settings guides I refer to your channel.
I can understand disabling telemetry for tracking / Nvidia tracking DLSS or RT usage etc, but other than that I’m not sure any of the other stuff is needed ….. just my opinion
The major tracking is in geforce experience. Just don't use that trash. See my comment about the hidden driver integer sharpening which replaces the need for a overlay. For recording just use OBS. Shadowplay is pointless since it doesn't even support AV1.
@@hackintosh3899Could you extend this comment? Why OBS abd how? To this moment I found that Shadowplay is the best recording experience, but I'm opened to other options, because this is the only reason I don't uninstall GeForce experience
ive tried so many of the things mentioned in videos like this and literally none of them worked, Decided to try this one. copying these exact settings on 537.13 with a 4090 got me a good 12% boost in framerate on starfield. Hats off to you sir
@@OuijaSTi before was 70-80fps. After was 90-100 fps at 4k. Now that the new Nvidia patch came out tho there's no need. With new patch and DLSS3 mod I'm seeing 150-200fps
I followed the video and during the process I did not encounter any problems. However, I did not notice any game improvements either though gpu usage may have been very slightly improved. But it's either negligible or at least ever so slight.
9:33 I keep getting “this file cannot be accessed by the system” when I try to run DDU on safe mode. I try it on regular mode and it lets me boot it up but tells me I should be in safe mode…any help anyone?
Hey Panjno, in the intel undervolt video, you mentioned that you were going to come up with a video for the ones who have locked bios/cannot undervolt through intel xtu. So can you try to do that next?
@Panjno Nvcleanstall updated today and it added an option to disable Ansel which is a screenshot tool so it's another useless thing you can disable in a future video.
I have done the same steps as before and even in your old nvcleanstall videos, but now i ran into problem, i cant install the debloated driver, when the prompt that says windows cant verify the publisher( the red colored prompt when installing), then after clicking install anyway the installation just stops, please help, thanks!
I just have to comment that i tried setting the playback speed to .5 to follow along better.....and it sounded just like you were drunk straight outta an irish pub XD
I followed a the video on uninstalling with DDU and using NVCleaninstaller to de bloat the driver. Now when i try to launch apex, it automatically closes window upon the main menu loading screen. I tried with CS2 as well, also the same problem. I then went back to a restore point i had made right before changing everything and still getting crashes. Do i just download the full regular driver at this point?
@@williamconcepcion9223 It's advised to only update drivers when they're causing issues like game freezes or crashes, or an app requires it, since frequently updating may introduce more problems from buggy software
Really effective and i notice a small decrease of temperature in my gpu and some stable gaming on my garbage laptop.but i did not include the optimus option in my custom driver. I think that's why I have this difference
Hello, when installing the geforce experience the way you recommend (to use shadowplay) it does not record any type of audio and I think it may be due to installing it that way, any solution?
i installed it to see how would impact my pc , it is like running dragging a big stone at your ankles, it is like having sex after they remove your balls, it is like a vampire sucking blood who is never full it is like an Alien invasion taking the water out of the planet, it is like killing yourself with a blunt teaspoon, it is a cpu and GPU resource hog...it is a spy machine too, i had like 10 services open, and i wasnt even using it ......fastest uninstall of my life, and i have 16gig ram and a 5600amd you dont need it for driver updates, in fact you dont need driver updates unless you buy new games, what you need is to avoid buying games with DENUVO, that is 20 fps less per game
Same here. I click the install button for Nvidia control panel in store and it goes grey but nothing happens. Tried restarting. I get a Nvidia message popup that says no control panel installed and to click here to install but morning happens
