You can do it with playing cards because there is less probably of damage, nice job, next time put some music because is boring looking at the vid with no sounds is weird!👍

I strongly recommend paying a tiny bit more for a professional to do it if you're thinking of buying a kit and trying yourself, I know someone who has been doing it for years but says alot of the time he breaks a few screens trying to replace them, which means there's a good chance your new screen could crack and you'd be fucked

I removed the back cover for the glue application part. Some glue went on the glass where the front camera is. Now it's very blurry. I tried with alcohol but doesn't help, also it's a very tiny space to work. Is there a trick to clean out the glue?

Hmmm how are we supposed to know that you didnt destroy the digitizer after cleaning? Or rather you just put a new one on during the cut... you spent 14 minutes on camera breaking away the glass but you wouldnt spend an extra 5 on showing us the cleaning process? That leaves me to believe that this process is very faulty.

I repaired a Samsung s7 edge glass only recently and found this 3x more difficult than the s8 due to edge screen so I'm pretty confident the s8 will be easier

OK not sure about you all out there, but my "Home Conditions" do NOT include a screen heating plate and professional UV light for curing the adhesive. Stumbling on this video on RU-vid for information, it's mediocre at best, but considering when you buy their repair kit at Digital Supply USA, this the ONLY thing they provide as "Instructions", it's pretty pathetic. Thank goodness there are far better videos on how to do this out there that don't waste nearly as much time on watching them struggle with the glass and force you to watch commercials. (Again, pathetic since you are sent here for their instructions after purchase...)

Oh nuh uh.... I'm gonna stick with a blowdryer, a razor to start, and a playing card or two, constantly following the card under the glass with the blowdryer.. that looks like too much

Its always best to replace the screen assembly as a unit. Tomorrow the display could stop being responsive to touch as this fix usually results in that. I always do a complete screen replacement assembly. Much faster for me to replace the assembly and gaurantee its ok.

I just bought a replacement screen kit for my samsung Galaxy s8 on Amazon but I noticed the screen doesn't feel like glass and more like plastic...did I buy the wrong thing? Its is really hard to get the old glass off. The other video i wAtched he froze it with dry ice and it fell off in two seconds. It does make sense because its glass and the company knows that there going to break so it should be made easy to fix. Mabe it has to be that way but i dought it because look at apple there back glass is even worse th o fix and cost 500 hundred dollars. If someone can even do it.
