Ahh I got to that point and was thinking, crap do I have to take the deck belt off? Yep, yep I do. Thanks for this video btw. As a non-mechanically inclined person it was essential.
Sounds to me like it’s a good mower if used properly. Can’t expect it to be a commercial mower & leaving it outside isn’t good either. You get what you pay for. I like my ZT ELITE 60”. Great video on the belt installation 👍🏻
Yeah kind of a shame I think it would have been ok if that battery hold down hadn't fell down it kind of messed up the belt. Just a poor design. I'm looking to trade this one in on a new mower next year.
Thanks for posting this - my drive belt came off this week and I need to get it back on - you are right, there is no rooom to work that belt back on as it sits. i will be following your process here in a few minutes. Had mine since july of 2018, it is a beast. I abuse the living snot outta mine and it has held up great. the only failure other than the drive belt is the emergency brake switch went end of last year. Oh yeah, the seat does suck, my only real complaint.
The belt was thrown because the batt. Hold downs fell in the fans!! Word to the wise fix the batt. Rods so they can't fall in the fans!!! I have300+ hrs on my 2019 MZ mag. With general maintance!!
Yeah, mine just shredded the drive belt and wouldn’t ya know…..one of the battery support rods are missing. This is a huge design flaw that they really need to address…🤬🤬🤬
@@andylee1587 - Remove the OM battery brace and rods. Then secure the battery with a bungee cord or a large zip tie. Because the battery support rods will eventually vibrate loose and fall directly down into the pump fan while operating the machine which in turn will destroy the fan and shred your drive belt.
You really need to drop both transmissions down to get the belt off of both of the pulleys. Because the belt won't fit between the gap of the top of the pulley and the body. The tension spring will need loosened in order to get the belt on and off.
If you have the scale tool to pull on the belt from the side it should be 60 to 65 pounds its expensive just make sure it is tight. www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/bad-boy-parts-online-belt-tension-gauge
Really? It's not that hard to do just have to be careful it doesn't fall on you while it's jacked up. I'm not even sure what a shop would charge for that job.
