This resonated with me on the deepest level possible. I chose group #3. My boyfriend of 6 years left me while I’m 8 months pregnant with our first and only child for a woman 8 years his senior who he met at work. He left abruptly. Left our home together, me, our pets.. and is now living with her after knowing her for only a few months. He was hoping this connection with her would make him happier than our connection, and it’s back fired because he can’t let go of us and I know it. He misses me and still loves me and has even expressed that sometimes he feels like he wants to come “running back” to me but can’t. He’s stuck. He’s “trying to work on himself” and he’s “not doing well”. But he’s very emotionally cut off at the moment. This confirmed my thoughts exactly and even what he’s expressed to me on a VERY deep level. Yea my ex emotionally cheated on me with someone then I found out and left and they ended up making it official with the other person and having a child. We did have problems I suggested counseling and using self help tools from books, I waited for them to divorce someone they were married too never happened in the 5 years we were together they were very immature and had a really bad ego problem. I wasn’t perfect but I put up with a lot. Sheesh was so exhausting.. fast forward a year later I’m still single and taking it easy.
