I've been testing both the Streamdeck and Loupedeck with OBS 27.2.x. Two major differences that make me prefer the Streamdeck over the Loupdeck are the fact that you can't trigger sources grouped sources within a scene. Scenes can for sure be triggered and groups sources can be triggered, but individual sources within that group aren't accessible in the Loupedeck Scene/Source config dropdowns. Also you can't do custom icons with two states. For instance, on the Streamdeck you can create an icon for the non-active AND active states of a button. I use a "live state" icon for buttons that are active--I either add a red outline to the icon or for audio OBS audio fade-up/down triggers, I use a "LIVE" icon that confirms I've hit the button. That tells me those triggers are active/live. The Lopedecks knobs are a bit handy even if not very critical to my setup. I can certainly make do without them as I have no audio levels to ride. The only advantage of the loupedeck for me is that they are simply more or another set of macro triggers than I have on my 15 button Streamdeck. That I can easily get consolidated onto a 32 button streamdeck. I wouldn't miss the dials of the Loupedeck at all.
Good to see ya back making videos again. Eevie looks an absolute gem. She is growing fast. Congratulations again. Awesome video. Definitely has made me rethink from a streaming sense on whether I up grade to a 32 elgato or try the loupe deck s. Hope to se some more set up videos on the loupe deck like you done on the stream decks.
Thanks for the positivity! If you didn’t know Loupedeck was acquired this week by Logitech! So it’ll more than likely get much more investment into the Loupedeck support and Dev ecosystem!
good to see you back MD, hope you and fam are well. Question is can it be used alongside the Elgato Streamdeck. Must admit it does look good and i may look at getting 1 in the future
Yes it can be used alongside the stream deck!! I should have mentioned this but I’ve had no bugs or quirks at all alongside the Stream Deck! Thanks mate, appreciate it! Hope you and the fam are doing good dude!
