I’m American, but the government has NO RIGHT to tell tenants that they don’t have to pay during the pandemic. They have no right inserting themselves in a private agreement between two parties. It is wrong, both constitutionally and morally

What about the bailiffs who exceed their own legal parameters? I’ve seen it many times with those muppets on can’t pay well take it away, they get in peoples faces trying to intimidate them, (always people much smaller than them or obviously vulnerable), and then if someone becomes violent they shit their pants and phone the police. I bet the police laugh their heads off at these idiots dressed almost exactly like police, even standing with their hands tucked in their cheap replica stab vests like the police do. There’s 1 or 2 who are respectful to people but in general they’re just bullies who didn’t get enough qualifications to apply to the police so they got their SIA badge instead. I say fair play to anyone who stands up to them or gives them a slap coz at one point or another nearly all of them have crossed the line in what they’re allowed to do so they need putting in their place.

I don't understand a many things with two cousins that owned 180,000 for rent. 1. The police came during the first call and seem left without arresting the guy who disappear. At least having one officer on stay-by as agents might get into conflict again. 2. Police came again the 2nd time and ether cousin gets in trouble after they known to pretending to be each other. I wonder if the police scouted the area for the cousin that was causing the trouble? 3. Did the cousin driving the Range Rover got in trouble from police for not having insurance? 4. Since the Police was in the apartment and saw the different ID cards and also confused because not knowing their was a cousins. I wonder they did any investigation or background checks? 5. Since Shergroup has body cameras. I wonder if the Police ask for a copy of the video. If investigation was done? Many questions....

It’s not debt based, it’s part of life. Owing someone correct in a binding contract such as a mortgage is fine. Owning someone from breaking a contract or from the result of a client order is different.

I don’t owe a dime. I never have . I buy my clothes from thrift stores I have had three jobs at once at times but I am debt free. Own my home own the 25 acres it’s on and own my two cars. I work 15 hours a week now , but that’s really just for the social aspect I enjoy. I’m 43. You will always be in debt because ur mindset is twisted . I’m free u will always be a slave

Honestly if I owed money that I simply couldn’t pay back (and I really would sell anything I could to try), I’d offer the bailiffs a cup of tea and explain to them why I can’t pay + show them proof that I really have tried. I believe there was a can’t pay take it away episode where a Japanese man did exactly that and the bailiffs took everything into account and just wrote off that it cannot be recovered. They have a job to do & sometimes that job is untenable but they have to try. I feel like every time the situation escalates, it just ends up worse for the debtors because it turns the situation into a challenge. Also everyone needs to brush up on the law. Bailiffs can’t actually entirely empty a property to recover the debt regardless of how large it is - like they can’t take your last TV, bed or necessities so be aware of what items are actually at risk and act accordingly.

They can force entry if they have previously been inside the property ie. its a return visit. On a first visit, they can make "peaceful entry" ie. enter through unlocked door, or window or unguarded front door. They don't need to be invited in.

Take a look in the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981. You can get up to 2 years inside for being in possession of a fake passport or driving licence.

Bit of an anti-climax, unless I'm mistaken didn't the 2 rent debtors both get away with it? The one guy went bankrupt so presumably doesn't have to pay the £180k (I bet he's not really broke, I bet he's just distributed all his assets amongst family members like that cousin) and they never said what happened to the guy with the balaclava who owed £11k.

If enforcement agents use violence against alleged debtors, then the alleged debtor is within their rights to use as much reasonable force as is necessary in the circumstances to defend themselves.

Bailiffs can’t force entry for civil debt, keep your doors & windows locked & there’s nothing they can do. If it’s a debt to any branch of govt, driving, parking fines etc then they can.

This situation is one big clusterf--k. There's zero chance most of these people will pay even a 3rd of what they owe. Courts issue writs saying property is forfeited to pay debt, but then a different Court returns seized property... Who pays for the Court actions? The taxpayer, of course....

What kind of person feels that they do not have to pay for their abode? TWICE even. I guess its a person who has not been held accountable for anything in their life. He gets off almost free again. In the US we are not allowed to identify "squatters" so these people just keep lying and frauding the next landlord. If the person does get a formal "EVICTION" on their background check that will deter them from being able to rent again. But the formal "EVICTION" rarely happens.

There are so many people scamming and doing illegal things in the UK with no fear of the law or punishment. They don't think they are above the law they know they are. Even if they get taken to court they get small fines and community orders or suspended sentences.

These guys are the real ones~ People will think twice about attacking an officer but these guys are in more plain looking clothes and so their safety is absolutely in question. The people they're chasing most likely have a criminal record and they're still willing to take them on if it means innocent people get their money back~ Sometimes it seems like there are really only a few good men and women left~ Edit: So they're dealing with the same thing as us. Some guy at the top decided to just let people live in properties they don't own FOR FREE and did not provide any legitimate means for property owners to collect what they're owed afterwards besides taking it to court WHICH THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. The people not paying rent should be dealing with this, NOT the landlords. This is a joke and when I found out about this during the pandemic, I knew they had screwed us all, and look what's happening, now nobody can live anywhere because landlords have to overcharge to make up for what they lost during the pandemic and now rent is so high and minimum wage is so low that nobody's willing to work minimum wage because there's just no point, you get basically nothing for working minimum wage and you can't afford even the most basic essentials, and they're all relying on programs and food stamps and these are people that can work but don't have money for college, but we're done working for minimum wage just because we didn't put ourselves in major debt for school. This whole thing is about to get real if something doesn't change~ Edit: I like the female officers in this video, even in the face of violent men they stand strong, and I like the American officer's no nonsense attitude~ Shoutout to the men too! Stay safe you guys!!! Edit: I can't y'all, he really said, "this one different me". XD WHAT?????

Glad the guy have his car back. This is the right way, dont put yourself in trouble, just let them take the car and then prove the car its not your and let them pay the delivery back. Only that way you can make them regret and get in to expense for their game... About the guys in the private property i dont know how they can let their door unlocked so those thugs can enter like that. Just make sure you keep the doors locked FFS is it that dificult...?! The thugs no right to brake in to private properties, only in to buisneses, but if your door its open, you cant take them out even with police... Just not let them in, and dont speak with them its not that dificult...

The problem with these Bailiffs or high court enforcement officers is when they get assaulted is they call the police and then do not charge the people. This is why they keep getting assaulted. In one hand they act all mighty tough because they have a important enforcement warrant, and then on the other hand they act like babies when things get heated up a little bit. It has to be one or the ther but they can not keep wasting the police officers time by being a bunch of babies.
