Thanks Peter. I have a home in a ski town. The homeowner's insurance increased by 47% to 7300. Last year it increased 25%. This is with a 10K deductible and never made a claim. I think about self insuring. No mortgage. A ripoff.

I was working at a Dillard's in Q4 of 2007. The mall was jam packed on Black Friday when I went in for orientation. By mid-December it was a ghost town. I get the same feeling now. Stuff is humming, but only just barely. I remember your interviews on Fox and CNBC back then. Those arrogant guys who laughed at you when you mentioned the subprime traunches. A year later nobody was laughing.

Peter is smart because he doesn’t need an economist or the government to officially declare we are in a recession when it is too late, he can smell coffee.

I got a 50% increase on my truck insurance. No accidents no tickets. EVER

Our house insurance went up 53%!! Plus taxes went up $500/year, making our escrow payment increase by nearly $300/month! That was most certainly a huge blow to our budget.

These people are the greatest minds and have gone to the most prestigious Ivy League schools in America if the economy is crashing it’s because they want it to crash and they are doing it on purpose. Why does nobody mention this how can somebody like me who barely graduated high school be the only person that sees this? How? The government currently lacks concrete strategies to address inflation. Inflationary pressures are impacting various sectors, including stocks, housing, and commodities, causing their prices to rise. It is not advisable to keep your money idle and wait for a market crash. Instead, it is prudent to put your money to work by starting with cautious investments and gradually increasing your pace as prices decline further. Withdrawing a significant amount of money, exceeding $500K, from my account at this time presents a challenging decision.

Insurance seems to be the most affected by inflation, my health, auto, home owners all went up drastically, and my HOA fees are going up 40% next year while I am getting no pay raise.

Gulf of Tonkin Resolution 08-10-1964 Lyndon Johnson signed this resolution on 1964 to authorize war powers on the North Vietnamese for their reported attacks on our Navy in the Gulf of Tonkin. The trouble with the resolution was that the House and Senate were being lied to and there were never any damage reported or injuries from any such attack/s. One Navy ship reported hearing that sounded like a torpedo in the water. No impact or explosion was suffered and nothing else happened. This report of a possible torpedo being fired at a US warship in International waters was the pretext for the funding of an ever expanding war in Vietnam that cost 50,000+ American soldiers their lives and possibly 2,000,000 North and South Vietnamese their lives. It is very hard to fire a torpedo at a Warship at sea if you have no submarine, no patrol boat with a torpedo rack or any airplane capable of dropping such a weapon. This resolution was just bull shit. I served in the Navy in the war zone in 1966-1969 and have some first hand and second hand knowledge of what was transpiring over there. The Iran War Authorization of November 6, 2023 will go down in history as another Gulf of Tonkin Resolution or the Police Action in Iraq to search for weapons of mass destruction that were never found. Both of those earlier Military Industrial Complex military forays were based upon lies to the American people and have cost millions of lives and trillions in treasure. So why not do it all again ? 🐃💩

Just received 15% increase in my homeowners insurance, In my personal experience and I am one of the little guys everything is up a minimum of 15% across the board. I'm a small independent contractor and I may have to shut down and seek employment. Not good. Thank you Peter

I agree with owning dividend paying utilities & agriculture stocks but PE ratio are rather high isn't it a bad time to buy stocks?

Guy at a jewelry store offered me $175 for my 10 grams of .9999 gold, and $400 for 58 grams of 14K gold. Took it back and asked what kind of clown he thought I was. Long story short, eventually sold it and all my silver and put it into XRP the day before the price just jumped 20%. Experienced first hand how difficult it is to sell physical gold and the discount that comes with it. I wound up getting $2900 for $2800 in gold AND 85 ounces of silver. Never again.

Yes, the economy is sliding....and will eventually die is neglect. But given the barious forces trying to prop it up in many different directions, how it will fail is probably not obvious. So being careful , domewhat independent (self sufficient) and liquid is thry key.... And moving forward with your eyes wide open helps too!

Inflation is always a result of monetary policy, these days fiscal policy definitely plays a role. These understandings are basic knowledge that any financial adviser needs to know to get licensed to give advice, its not a secret. The central bankers are not ignorant, they have an agenda! They will not divulge the exact nature of their behind closed door agenda to the public media However, that doesn't mean they are ignorant or incompetent rather that they are consistently deceitful.

If the official inflation rate is indeed 3.5% and the cost of many goods and services has increased by double digits, that means the cost of many other goods and services has dropped. What are these goods and services that are getting cheaper? Someone should ask the people claiming 3.5 % inflation. I know the price of a 4th of July cookout was .07 cents cheaper than last year per the White House PR. Is that it?

It’s not the cavalry’s mission to protect cities. They are either tasked to provide earlier warning and required defensive actions, or they can attack from a base. They don’t setup permanent defenses.

EPGFX is down over 10 percent since its inception roughly 10 years ago. To add insult to injury, that fund has a roughly 2 management fee. All in all, you're down like 30 percent if you bought this shyster's fund in 2013 and hold it, still, today.

“People have more money”. That’s why it was smart to collect UI. You wouldn’t get the 7kish extra working plus you would give out a free loan, spend on gas, and lose leisure time driving there and working. Also in the future you could avoid interest, delinquencies and even save with interest, thus not getting hit the second time as hard as the LWE after the extra amount in 2020 . You forgot to mention that some of the small business may be people getting around the system with no hiring, thus more ways people who collected aren’t getting hit as hard with taxes, interest and Inflation as the former low wage worker.

I love Peter and he’s right and all but historically it’s taken 3-4 years for rate hikes to break the debt market. That’s why the Fed was “late” in hiking, they knew it would get Biden to the election. Yes it’s going to happen but we could be a year or more out from a credit crises.

Companies that receive a budget hire up from within the company doubling their management staff. Tou have this transition while training and when they’re on permanent…maybe you can fill their positions
