I know I’m late on the scene but I found adding Scaler or stuff like ChordBud so easy and the recording even easier. You add a MIDI FX plugin before the synth. Scaler works a treat. Then you long press on the MIDI FX plugin and it offers the option to record the MIDI output from this point in the chain. Brilliant and simple. Add ChordBud and BLEASS Arpeggiator before the synth record the MIDI from the Arpeggiator then use the MIDI (turn of the ChordBud and ARP). Guess by now most folks would know that but here it is.

Any idea how to get the work screen like yours? Zoomed out so you can see all the measures?

Anywhere on the screen you can zoom in and out by pinching vertically or horizontally with your thumb and index finger.

Can you record samples into the logic sampler from like vinyl or something?

I don't believe you can record samples into the sampler, you can only load audio samples into it.

Vortex. I don’t think anyone knows how to use the Audio Patches in Logic Pro. I cannot find one single video on how it is used or configured or whatever. If you have time, could you give us a video on how to utilize audio patches in Logic Pro. I have completely given up.

For sure! Basically audio patches are effect chains for audio tracks, so if you're plugging in your guitar, you can throw an audio patch on it which usually includes an amp, eq and reverb. But you can also copy that audio patch and paste it on a midi track as well.

When I follow along at 17:30 when you double tap you get another (similar but different ) yellow/green grid. When I do it I get another track but a black background instead of the grid. Any idea why?

When you double tap I believe it will add whatever type of track you added last, in our case it was an auto drum track.

@@MobileMusicPro When I try and duplicate the drum track by double tapping, instead of the same track I get a blank track entitled “inst 2”.

@@WyattLite-n-inn Ok how it works is whatever you currently have selected, it will try to duplicate that, so if it's midi, then it will be a new blank midi instance, if it's an auto drummer, it will add another auto drummer. So when you double tap to add a new track what will happen is all determined by what track you currently have selected.

hmm strange, perhaps try refreshing or loading the page in a different browser? youtube does strange updates all the time that temporarily break various things for various different people.
