You are testing your internet on different servers on pc and on phone. That is why the speed is different in both of them. other than that, this trick works like a charm.

Hi, Im late to the video, but an alternative to pdanet+ (PDN) is EasyTether (ET). Sometimes ET works better then PDN (vise versa). But my biggest thing is PDN will not work for any game client's like Ubisoft connect it will update anything fine but won't start a fresh download. Anyways, maybe a new video idea 😉 eh? Later subbed! I've been using PDANET+ and FoxiFI+ since 2009ish, but with my S21 Ultra unlocked I can't get it to connect via hotspot for some reason. I ordered a cheap Blade A3 and it seems to work on that. High ping rate, but decent speeds download and upload average 30mbp each.

Will this work with gaming consoles? And do you have to keep the phone connected to the laptop at all times for this to work?

Have another question I have two phones I have the crappy one that visible gave me could I use that one with the hotspot or do I need to have Wi-Fi because my original thinking was if I use my regular phone is going to kill my battery but if I use the secondary phone from visible I can just use that and keep it plugged up is it possible without using the Wi-Fi to just use the hotspot of the secondary phone so I don't have to kill my main battery on my first phone

i have globalnet for internet, lets just say its rough. i cant game on it and thats the best they have in my area. so i use pdanet and im able to game off that and get better results from pdanet than my own actual internet provider

Thanks for all your videos. I am rural and recently got Visible wireless thanks to locating your video about it. My phone has 4 bars of signal strength but my upload/download speed isn't that great on my computer when connected to the Rav Filehub that's using my phone's hotspot. I downloaded PDAnet to my Visible phone and turned on "hide tether usage." Does this hide my mobile hotspot so that the speed isn't capped? Or does this process not work if the mobile hotspot is being used by the filehub? Sorry, I'm just confused as to how this is supposed to work.

it is the opossite for me, pdanet slows down on the computer and it is faster on my phone. I get like 40mb on the phone and only 15 on my pc. Is there a way to fix this?

Been using PdaNet successfully for years with my Android Pixel 2 XL and MacBook Pro. Updated to Android 11 last week and it's no longer working. Deleted and reinstalled latest version on phone and desktop. Still not working. Checked internet and many others are expecting the same issue. Wrote the developer but haven't received a response. Hoping another update or fix occurs soon.

This is broke for Big Sur on OSX. Works flawless on Catalina with USB connect but Pdanet for Big Sur has no USB but Wifi direct which doesn't work.

Wish I could find a way around visibles hotspot cap so I can use it on tvs phones and ECT. I tried to see if I could connect my travel router up to this while it was on WiFi but it didn't work because my travel router is 2.4ghz only and not 5ghz. If you have a travel router with 5ghz will you see if you can connect to the WiFi hotspot when it's connected to computer.

Can the newer Verizon Samsung phones work with this? I have ran through like 6 Samsung S5's over the past number of years but these are all freezing up now. So looking to get a newer phone but want to be able to use the Foxfi app. Thx

Great video. Is there a way to hide the fact you are using a provides cellular SIM card in a LTE router? Similar to hiding your hotspot usage with software. I have viewed all the videos about using LTE routers especially with Visible Wireless. Maybe I missed it but I didn’t see anything about hiding the fact they can tell you are using a router. I've been using pda for years with very minimal issues until now. Ive noticed that all of a sudden the past few months my data usage is through the roof. Before that even, I've been connecting my smart TV thru the wifi share feature (laptop connected to my phone and TV connected to hotspot from laptop) However, none of the apps on the TV worked except for Netflix. Hulu & disney+ will periodically disconnect saying "check network conntect" or "network error" of some sorts but it will eventually continue to stream. It didn't bother me as much because I mostly watch Netflix. BUT NOW im having issues with Netflix. It will disconnect but differently to the point I didnt make the connection that maybe its the same issue that extended to Netflix. Om Netflix it will CONSTANTLY stop and show the loading circle only in most cases it won't just restart, I usually have to do a plethora of tasks to try and get it to connect (checking wifi via TV, check phone data, check laptop, check wifi share, just a HEADACHE) but sometimes it'll play a bit without sound and then show the red circle and often times I cant rewind much because it'll eventually cause the problem. I went several months without having this problem AT ALL. any insight on how to fix this? Please I'm desperate lol

I'm apprehensive to try this again cause I had a bad experience last time I tried tethering with PDAnet. I had a phone with StraightTalk supposedly had unlimited data and my service got cut off near the end of the month. When I called them they told me they had cut off my service cause they suspected me of tethering. I acted dumb and asked them what that was, and they told me and that it was strictly prohibited and they suspected it due to high data usage. I asked isn't the data unlimited? They said it was but my usage was too high to suggest normal usage. They also refused to say whether or not they would let me continue to use their service. I had many conversations with them and on all but one there were various levels of accusation on each call.

The best method I use is to get a router from GLInet and use it as a repeater from the Visible phone your hotspoting from. When doing so I can connect 30 devices to the router while only tethering 1 router to my phone. No computer and no pdanet needed. You're welcome.

This method works. In the country there's not many options. Great 4glte coverage in this location. 5+ years I've used Pdanet on my phone and PC's. When used with a VPN your then going to browse or download at the fastest possible speed. The speeds will vary on the amount of usage the cell tower your connected to has. Distance from the tower also makes a difference. I personally think this is absurd that users have to resort to other methods to actually get unlimited data. Many times I've wanted to scream on the phone to Verizon customer service especially when my data allotment comes. Wouldn't matter its all baked into the phones only a few methods that actually work.

I have a question so last month i used PDANet for my phone and I bought the full purchase one and after a month it seems that when i use PDANet it still counts towards my data and not as streaming, they probably know I have been using it. Any idea on how to bypass the throttling?

I downloaded the pdanet+ on both my phone and my pc and opened the app on my phone checked the hide tether and then checked the Wifi direct hotspot box at which point the app replied I need to turn on my Wi-Fi? I'm using the Mobil hotspot that uses my carriers (Verizon) data why would I need to turn the Wi-Fi on? I use Wi-Fi on my phone to connect to another internet source other then my phones?
