In this Israel-Gaza War Update we discuss the current ongoing Israeli ground offensive inwhich Israel now begun to enter urban combat after it besieged Gaza city. We take a look at the Palestinian tactics from a educational point of view to explain what exactly happened in the videos we saw so far and why this was the case.
To sum the events up:
• Israel advance from tree main axis from the north and south of Gaza city with the aim to cut the Gaza strip in half and besiege Gaza city.
• After this was done the IDF now is going over to a phase of slow but steady urban operations to clear the town sector by sector.
• The Palestinians on their side try to avoid the Israeli main body for as much as possible and focus of Israeli armored vehicles that are most like forward, rear and security elements given the lack of infantry support.
• We have seen a lot of RPGs but fewer drones than anticipated.
• This can have three main reasons:
1. The number of drones is actually lower than tought.
2. They are witheld.
3. Deployment of Israeli counter-drone systems they do not want to disclose at this point.
