I have to congratulate Emma and Chelsea even though I am a Gooner. I wish her well in her new job and I hope one day she comes back to Arsenal and contributes to our club again. I think she is that good at football management she could manage the men's team. I don't say this glibly I have worked with a former England Manager.

Honest, to the point, still championing womens football, one of the greatest womens football coaches, not because of the titles, but because her agenda was to show everyone that you need to invest on womens football and you will never regret it. Emma Hayes got lucky that Arsenal beat Manchester City, but Chelsea still had to have put themselves in a position to capitalise on the things that went their way, which took years of hard work and determination, as well as money invested. I hope Emma will get the chance to grow football in US to create a wider football culture, from which will come the players for great teams. Generating interest in the sport need not be at the expense of other sports, it should just add to the number of athletes, some of whom might otherwise not get involved. The key is for them not to judge her on the team she inherited, or imagine she will be as open with the press on details as Twila Kilgore seems to have been expected to be.
