After an impressive six-wicket win over Colombo Strikers in the opening game of the ongoing Lanka Premier League, Colombo Strikers will take on Kandy Falcons on July 2 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The defending champions Kandy defeated Dambulla by six wickets in the previous match and would be confident of getting the job done against Colombo.
They were fabulous in all departments, which is a position. With the ball, Dasun Shanaka managed to pick up three wickets while opener Dinesh Chandimal had a terrific time in the middle. Towards the end, Shanaka delivered with the bat, smashing 46* runs in 15 deliveries. Veteran all-rounder Angelo Mathews supported him well with a knock of 37* runs off 20 balls as Kandy chased 180 runs in just 17.2 overs.
