I bought the KM601 because I couldn’t resist at the price and for what it does. I don’t have a calibrator, but I do have a few rather accurate meters. It tested quite well against them. Is it equal to my $1,000 (and above) meters? Well, of course not. But really, if you’re going to need more precision, then expect to pay for it. Otherwise, these meters seem to be more than adequate in accuracy and speed, and the rest of the features are excellent, including the flashlight on the back of mine, as well as the 10,000 count. The screen is the defining feature for me though as my eyes aren’t what they used to be. If the battery life is less then fine, it’s worth it. It’s amazing what you can get for very little these days.
Just ordered one whilst Amazon have 20% discount on it. For general use it is good enough, it's not a high end instrument but unless you need one that is for most hobbyists they are just too expensive. At work i have access to the best, but for home use this will be fine. Thanks for your honest review.
Which one is more precise and useful in ranges ? This ir the other you review km601? Regardless or price and what about batteries difference and size?noticed the km601 is made about bettter that older version led lol in the flash light
Hello. Any way to calibrate this multimeter? I can calibrate even my $5 multimeter (using the internal potentiometer) but I can't find any way to calibrate the Kaiweets multimeters... Thanks.
But can I catch a crocodile with it? Nice video couple of points another video somebody else did with a closer look at the circuitboard showed a lot of over soldering that’s probably why you found that piece inside, so the soldering quality could be improved on all their instruments. The other point is you kept making a lot of conversation about the lighted jack ports you have to remember this is for the idiot homeowner or garage mechanic the only reason they light up is to show them where to plug-in initially after that, they don’t have to look at the lights. just placed my order for this model because I tried to 601 one but whoever thought of putting those jacks on the bottom should be sent back to school very awkward. That’s why I’m buying this unit otherwise looks like a very nice product for a beginner or a homeowner a lot safer than most so you don’t have to worry about which Voltage etc. the price is down to $26 on Amazon which is pretty darn reasonable for what you’re getting.
I disagree, the meter has its place, it isn’t targeted at professionals, it is meant for hobbyists where spending hundreds of dollars on a meter isn’t justifiable or required.
