🔴 Rotating From Growth & Bitcoin to Value & Gold - Ep 957 

I consider the introduction of a Bitcoin ETF to be a watershed moment in the financial markets. Normally, I wouldn't buy-and-hold assets, but eight months ago, I spent more than $300,000, and it warms my heart that this is still happening. We are now approaching a bull run, and I am confident that I will regain everything I lost.

For boomers and senior citizens, the current market and economy are unnecessarily harder. I'm used to simply purchasing and holding assets, which doesn't seem applicable to the current volatile market, and inflation is catching up with my portfolio. My biggest concern is whether I'll survive after retirement.

Buying silver and gold is easy, but it is renowned for stability during economic hard times like this. The main problem is investing in stocks, dividends and even cryptocurrencies to grow your portfolio.... I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $190K for some time now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies ... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions

With the ETF approved, institutions will need to buy Bitcoin for their ETF. There will be marked increase in demand, can i get in and still make profits? i have set aside $250k to get fully invested this year

I saw the recent bitcoin vs gold discussion with Peter & Natalie on Fox and it made me a fan of Peter. When I saw him take that brutal beating from Natalie and he continued on with life, it showed me how much courage Peter has to keep going.

This seems like the worst period. Even the market are now very unpredictable. Started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high,today I am more than 60% down!..

Peter, I like your podcasts, but let's be honest. Gold has been dead money since 2012 except for the last 3 .months. I don't call dead money being a good investment for 11 years.

I'm overall outperforming a lot of assets by holding Bitcoin and a few other top crypto altcoins. When my percentage goes down it goes down about double that of the s&p100/500 but when it goes up it goes up like 5 times the S&P rate.

I've never met the man, but he is certainly my friend.

I used to be a Bitcoin maximalist but after learning more about economics and finance I believe Pete might be right about Bitcoin. Most people I know including those who own Bitcoin don’t know how it works or why they are investing in it they just know it went up a lot on price over the years. Most people who want to buy Bitcoin already have and almost the entire world has access to it. I think we’re right around the peak and this time the macro forces will really crash bitcoins price maybe under 10k this time. We will see, I own a little Bitcoin and plan on investing more after the next crash but I am no longer a die hard Bitcoin fan and I own more gold and mining stocks than Bitcoin all thanks to Peter lol

Peter never talked about rate hikes. He has consistently said that the Fed would give up on fighting inflation and cut rates.

Peter, I think gold is being purchased by the BRICS central banks because in January this year BASIL 3 rules changed to allow gold as the only other tier 1 asset besides us treasuries.

You like to cheer about these all-time record highs for Gold, while complaining about others not inflation adjusting numbers. The $850/oz high in gold from 1980 is over $3,200 today. Gold is at ~$2,400. The $1,900 2011 high is $2,640 today. $2100/oz in 2020 is $2530/oz today. This i think is based on government inflation numbers, which you say are understated. So... is this $2,416 really something to brag about? Seems like gold is only barely keeping up with inflation, if you believe government numbers.

BTW: The "mining" fees for BitCON (There is no gold coin nor coin at all as it is promoted) will only go up and up and it will eventually get to the point where it is completely uneconomic to move even non-fractional amounts between holders. Example: It cost 1/100th then 1/10th then 1/4th then half then 3/4th of a BitCon to transact a full BitCon... What then? Small holders will be frozen out or forced to lose most of what they have to these huge fees, while larger ones (including ETFs) will TRY to unload but the death spiral will finally shut the whole thing down.

Bitcoin can be used as a currency with the lightning network. I sent a few dollars worth of BTC back and forth from my new phone to my old phone with the lightning network about a dozen times. Each transaction took about 5 seconds and the fee was literally less than a penny.

I tried bitcoin and crypto and it's not for me. I've found it impossible to use and the fees astronomical, I don't understand where the rally for crypto comes from considering I'm a bit more technically inclined than most people and even I'm having this much difficulty. The layman use case just simply isn't there; it's not a store of value for that reason alone.

CNBC finally reports on gold but on a down day, Fast Money before commercial break says gold looses its shine then moves on and says crypto currency where can it go, paraphrased before commercial break.

This is because the 19-year cycle in the modern Jewish Calendar is about two hours longer than 19 actual solar years. Since the inception of the modern Jewish Calendar about 1600 years ago, the Calendar has acquired about six days of error. Initially, the Calendar was configured to always have the day of Passover fall on the day of the first full moon after the Vernal equinox. In this present-day, because of the accumulation of error, Passover falls on the day of the second full moon after the Vernal equinox in about one out of every five years. 24:00 Around that time point, where Peter discusses BTC, he is spot on. BTC behaved like any other risk asset and it does so today (04/22/2024), as well. With VIX cratering, SPX spiking, BTC is also seeing significant gains. Gold is getting hammered today, Silver even more. So, BTC is currently behaving like a risk asset not like a save-haven asset.

Peter, my brother beat prostate cancer because of gold. The doc implanted 3 gold bbs in his prostate in order to target the cancer treatment and it worked perfectly. Why didn't the doctor use Bitcoin bbs? Oh, that's right. Bitcoin does not have any physical attributes 😅
