Idea for getting down into the ravine: powdered snow randomly under some carpeted landing pads. Randomly they get swapped for non-powdered snow blocks. Either the landing is soft or the landing hurts.

Glass pane on the enchanting table would make it so you can't be in the center to miss the knock out slime launch.

Zed make a contraption to launch you up to the correct height in the portal to get to the roof. Would be cool.

The distance to the nether portal is a straight line on all axis, if you can push the portal further down the revine, ie dig to make it longer, then you will get a lower point where the roof would be closer than postal.

btw you should add some delay to the donks so that you can hear it after the pistons are done fireing that or put it before the pistons fire by

if the postal netherside portal is moved down to y=0 from y=12 it would only give you 6 blocks extra freedom to move the overworld portal down. however, if you move your roof portal down a bit too it will also give you a bit of extra freedom, you just need to make sure the lowest possible Y co-ordinate of the overworld portal is closer to the nether roof portal then the nether postal portal

I think you should add an iron bar or an end rod right on top of the enchanting table, so that you can't stand in the middle of the block, and thus it'll always spit you out. Also, if you want it to have a real punishment, you should get 3 lives, and if you can't get it in 3, it disables for 10 minutes. And add some lights to show how many lives you have, and make the whole thing flash when it's ready again. Maybe get a flashing beacon later on.

The nether height is for the mail system that is at the bottom of the world. So personal portals won’t interfere with the mail portals. :)
