She was relegated from the main tour but that same season she finished as the women's world number 1, which grants another 2 year tour card. They're just trying to get more women interested in the game because there are hardly any compared with the amount of men, which results in no money to be made for women even if they work really hard. It's a vicious cycle. You have a point though, and I personally have felt for a long time that they just need to make the effort and televise more of the women's game, put on women's snooker exhibitions and maybe even revive a fun Big Break style show where more female players could take part. Pushing players like Evans into the main tour when they're not really getting anywhere is actually kind of counterproductive, since there currently just aren't any female players of that level and it just makes them look bad, as we see here.
@@DM-kv9kj It's not a vicious circle, if a woman had the talent and put in the work she would be world number 1 and get all the rewards that go with that. Women have zero disadvantage at snooker. This isn't Men's Snooker, it's just Snooker. Which man who should have been on the tour is not, because of the way he was born? It's just wrong, and everyone knows it. "They're just trying to get more women interested in the game" is the entire problem. This isn't a needed goal. The game is a whole lot of stuff women generally don't like: no teamwork, being quiet, understanding physics, practicing on your own, etc etc.
basically a by for Michael as it is for everyone when they see there's a woman in the draw, it's about time they were removed from the men's game and put back in their own place, they did nothing with the chance they were given and none of them improved, maybe they should return the favour and let the men compete in their area of the game for a few seasons, that's equality surely
good club players wouldn't lose to Reanne, i know she was once a 12 times woman champion when there was only like 8 players. but her snooker knowledge around the table is very very poor.....
