What a crazy way to end the tourney. How do u make that call with A10? Even if u think Brewer is on complete air, A10 isn't that far ahead of Andy's all in range in that spot. The fold/chip conservation is so much more valuable than the gamble call. Just wild stuff. This entire ft was so great to watch. I love Triton & am so appreciative of them giving us this content on RU-vid. Thank you!

I think Brewer made the right decision here given that we don't know their cards. If he folded and Ni won, he would have the second place. If Chouity won the duel, he would be at the third place. Folding means a 50-50 chance to be on the 3rd place. So, for gambling sake, go all in to stand a chance to be the winner.

I agree, which is why this whole fad of "keeping a couple chips behind" is so dumb. Like why keep the chips behind if ur just going to call anyway? I get the premise of it and it can be advantageous in some super rare spots but the fact is it almost never is. I've seen this happen multiple times now and they always end up calling anyway.

@@budman6137It's not true. Imagine you have 15bb and you "jam" 10bb from CO with A8. Btn, sb & bb ALL seem interested. You gonna call your last 5bb on an FT instead of possibly laddering 2 spots in 1 hand? There is a reason why they do it

@@Snowball_Earth like I said, I get the premise of it. But they never fold. I've seen this exact scenario play out around 10 times now and only once have I seen someone actually fold. And it wasnt a major pro who made the fold. It was a semi reg on PokerGo who folded at 5 people left. Afterwards a lot of people said he should have made the call. So even the one time I actually saw a fold, people said he shouldn't have. So if ur calling anyway then why do it? Have u seen someone actually fold to ladder up?

@@Snowball_Earth furthermore this spot here if proof u shouldn't save a blind. It was actually the most profitable spot I've ever seen for an argument to be made to fold to save the chips. Brewer has to know the dude is never going all in over the top with worse than A8. But yet Brewer still made the call. This spot here should have been an example of why u save a chip behind to fold but he didn't fold. Ur never going to be in a bigger more clear spot to fold and save that last bb.
