🔴BREAKING: GAUTAM GAMBHIR OFFICIALLY NAMED AS NEW HEAD COACH OF INDIA, TO TAKE CHARGE FROM SL SERIES 

BCCI honourary secretary Jay Shah announced on Tuesday, 7 July that former India opener Gautam Gambhir has been named as the head coach of the Indian men's national team. IndiaToday.in had confirmed in May that Gambhir was expected to take over the team from Rahul Dravid, who left his role after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2024. Back then sources had confirmed to the publication that Gambhir's announcement was a mere formality.
