Understand your frustration, I had the same in Tenerife and I'm never going back. It leaves a bit of a bad taste. In Lanzarote in 27 days really looking forward to it.

Disgraceful behavior regarding your truck. Everything is getting expensive and most things are about separating you from your money today. A few years ago restaurants weren't happy saying all inclusive hotels were killing their trade but looking at some of their greedy prices today they're killing their own trade. Regarding the Riu oliva beach hotel we've noticed that prices have increased by at least 10-15% for 2024 even though it's more than desperate for renovation. Hotel position and great staff keep it going.
