Chelsea should throw sentiments aside and build a brand new stadium in a nearby new location. The current site is a nightmare to build a big stadium at, unless the club somehow purchase all the buildings in front and Stoll on the side.
I hope they find a way to renovate it. As an American, baseball literally has stadiums that are around 100 years old. Its sad to see classic stadiums get demolished
It will not be a renovation it will be a stand buy stand rebuild but they will need to did down to build higher stands due to high resolutions because of the location within West London of The Bridge they are legally not allowed to build stands above the hight they are currently.
Let’s just say we all know why Chelsea hasn’t upgraded their stadium. It’s because the local middle class uptight residents do not want a bigger stadium! And the council will not allow planning permission
That's true & the homes are for war vetrons but they have be bought already buy Clown Lake Capital they need to did down to build higher stands because of a medieval law regarding being able to see a birrel mound from a hill both miles away from The Bridge but if The Bridge is built any higher itvwill make viewing this mound impossible to digging down and building stand buy stand with Chelsea stilll playing at The Bridge is literally the only way forward.
But Chelsea has always been in Fulham since way before ehen it was working class where residents kept rabbits, chickens and pigs in their backyards during the war, it’s only recently they Fulham was gentrified and the oririgal house owners moved out to mini palaces in Essex and Bedford and Slough ….
@@dave4728 They kind of Cars no longer exist I used to see one driving about where I used to stay you used to find they cars all over the U.K you ued to get the same at Ibrox aswell. Different days , different days.
I lived on Ifield Rd in chelsea it backed onto bromyaes graveyard which backed onto the ground it maybe the 11 largest but by far the most expensive real estate
But Chelsea’s stadium lies in one of the richest piece of real estate in Europe. If we want to expand we can as we’ve just purchased the mansions next door and will redevelop it. It won’t be enough for a 60 or 70k all seater though, for that we need to move to Battersea or similar. 💙💙💙
Insider info here, Chelsea are going to make the stadium capacity bigger, a 5 Year Project . (guaranteed Happening btw) Whilst then we will be moving to Wembley whilst the project is happening we are not building a new stadium, just improving the capacity
We have to keep it, the Bridge is legacy, like Old Trafford, this is what a home of football looks like, its part of the fabric of west London, we just need to wait till was can renovate, we now own the surronding area, so we can knock some buildings down, move the footprint of the pitch away from the train line and make a thriving centre of commerce around the stadium, we can't lose Stamford Bridge
Hilarious how both ¢h€£$€a and scumchester uniteds pitches arent even in their own area's....in Fulham and Salford. Says everything. Glazers and Boehly are both absolute jokes. Long may they reign.
