Very helpful video! I see in most online examples for the ‘motivo’ opening a bank account, is that the motive that gets ‘approved’ easiest? If you, for example, are looking for property or a job, do you need to give proof (which property or which job)? Thanks!

It is not exactly easier to get the NIE application approved if you indicate that the reason is to open a bank account, and you also do not have to provide proof of the property you are buying or the job you are looking for when completing this form. However, it is important to be honest and accurate in providing your reason. In some cases, you may need to prove your motive.

Thank you, this is very helpful. Question - for section 4.3 Lugar de Presentacion, if I am submitting the application by mail (in Canada), do I leave this section blank? The mailing address is going to be the NIE department at the Consulate General in Toronto. So, I could check off "oficina consular" but am not sure if that is accurate given the application is being sent by mail?

In the EX15 form, in section 4.3 (Place of submission), if you are sending the application by mail in Canada, you should select one of the following options: Foreigners’ Office, if you prefer to submit the application at a foreigners’ office, police Station, if you wish to submit it at a police station. Since you have an Irish passport, you should put Ireland as your nationality. Remember, nationality is determined by citizenship, not by place of birth. I hope this helps!

Hey! 😊@corihanky If you're coming to Spain to study an MBA, here's how to fill out the EX-15 form: For Section 4.2: Motivos Check "Por intereses profesionales" (Professional interests). For Section 4.4: Situación en España In the "Especificar" line, write "Estudios de MBA" (MBA studies). Select "Estancia" (Stay) for your situation in Spain, even if your program is 2 years long. "Estancia" covers temporary stays, including studies.

If i just come to Spain to make NIE, i do not have an apartment in Spain yet, what adress should i put ? The one outside the Spain or the one in Spain (hotel for example)? 2. If you prefer, you can also use your address outside of Spain for now. 2)You can use your address outside of Spain if you prefer to receive notifications there. However, for receiving the NIE, it's typically sent via mail to a physical address in Spain, not via email. It's best to use a reliable address where you can receive physical mail. 3)If you plan to return to Spain in a few months and stay for an extended period, you should choose "Residencia". If it's just a short visit, then "Estancia" might be more appropriate. 4)For the date of birth (DOB) on the EX15 form, the format should be DD/MM/YYYY (day/month/year). Hi! Yes, if all four members of your family (you as parents and your two kids) require the NIE, then you would need to submit a separate Modelo EX15 application for each individual. Each family member will have their unique NIE once the applications are processed and approved.

It's just an address from a bar that I had a couple interviews with. , they just let me use their address as I've been told you need to have Spanish address to get a NIE.. But on the spanish consulate website in Netherlands it also says you can fill jn your address here?
