The Discovery phaser rifle in the armory from "The Plausibility of the Possible" is ultra rare on the first playthrough of the mission, and very rare on repeated playthroughs.
The disco full auto rifle still comes at Ultra Rare-for the first one you pick up. Subsequent ones are at very rare. Source: just did this for the first time ever on one of my KDF recruits
I'm still in love with the winter event set from last christmas. Amazing damage and a defense clicky that comes in second only to the Na'khul shield. Toss in a anchor of gre'thor (engineers only) and it's a beastly set up.
Indeed it is! Offers both damage, debuff, control & resilience. And you can give it to any low level toon, as it auto levels with them until tier 12, then you can upgrade it to 15 making it more than a viable end game set. Probably the best free leveling set overall. And it's brutally effective against Tholians!
Through a glitch I managed to get two of them on the same character. Hitting things with the secondary firing mode times two is really cool, no pun intended.
Excellent list. For some insane reason, my favorite mission award weapon is the Hirogen Tetryon Blast Rifle from the episode Alpha. It comes at Mark XI Rare and cannot be upgraded or re-engineered. If Cryptic would fix that, it would be one of my most often used toys. For melee, I prefer the Butcher's Mak'leth. I actually use that over the much more DPS oriented Bat'leth of Sto'vo'kor. All, that said, most of my characters use weapons appropriate to their theme. My first character was designed around the Borgslayer theme. She uses the Antiproton Omega Carbine. Buffed with Tenavik's Counsel, it is easily the match for many Lobi weapons. Herald staff still wins as it too is buffed by the same trait. Don't worry, I'm not going to go through every one of my 16 or so characters. Sure y'all would get bored to tears.
I love that blast rifle. I replayed Alpha 5 times to get the level-appropriate version for my Hirogen KDF Alien. He's now using the Antichroniton Infused Tetryon Full Auto Rifle Mk XV. I only later discovered the Destabilizing Tetryon Pulsewave Assault, which would fit the theme even better.
I'm using the Lower Decks Phaser Split beam rifle with the T-88 kit frame. These two items are must haves from the Lobi store right after Boimler Effect. Top notch gear.
Great vid just got the jem full auto for my main character. The mission Still uses the old deep space 9Tile set Which threw me off a little bit cause of how massive it was lol and I have a polaron ground endeavor to
I love the old DS9. It was not screen accurate but it was roomy. I often use that mission just to use the Exchange and Shipyard without having to be part of the modern DS9 mosh pit.
Very cool video. Couple of my favs on the list. In the future, it'd be cool to see the weapons in actual use, maybe on Nimbus III or another open ground combat area.
Something tells me Admiral Quinn did not sign off on your use of a death laser on ESD. 19:49 Pretty sure you hit a few fellow starfleet as well, job well done sir. o7
I personally am using a Ultra Rare Plasma Assault Rifle from the Fleet with Knockback added to it. It's a good combo combining it with the 2 piece of the Romulan Navy set. Have it equiped on all my boffs. The 2,5-5,0% chance for the effect becomes like 50% lol, poor enemy! 🤣 Obviously I am talking here on budget. Besides, Plasma Rifles look and sound pretty dope! ^^
@@MCStu no worries man, I got both the full auto rifles you suggested, never would have known about them otherwise, saved me a metric tonne of credit on the exchange. Also indirectly taught me how upgrading works.
The KDF Dual Sniper rifles are sniper rifles in name only. They're actually dual full auto rifles. It's a bug they never fixed and the description is well worth a read not to mention they're just ridiculous looking because theyre so big.
So um... measure of morality I, as many would already know is terribly bugged at the red angel part fighting control. Took several attempts to finish after restart because the AI would get stuck.
Add a vendor purchasable rifle, the Romulan Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle. But it from Flotilla or New Romulus...at the ground weapon vendor. Upgrade it and enjoy the amazingness that is Romulan technology at it's most destructive.
I wish they would add custom modifiers for story missions on hard it would give people a HUGH reason to re run the missions even if it was stupidest little mod if it was mission only it would open this game up so much the endeavors end & farming story missions would be so cool
I run the Cochrane shotgun and MACO Battle Rifle, for my kit I run Mudd's Time Device, The suck box, The Hurricaine thingy from the chain Lockbox, Chroniton torp spread and The photon wrist torpedo.
The best thing to do when playing the game on the ground is to learn how to use the *Shooter mode* (press _B_ by default) makes the combat way more dynamic and engaging. Even for science skills.
My main rocks the Corfield, though I will offer a note to fellow console players. You'll only very rarely get to use the secondary if you have every kit module on auto. It's bad enough that it's either/or, especially if you roll with high readiness. That said, everything on normal/advanced is usually dead fast enough anyway.
Only draw of Lek's throwing knife there is no trait or effect that boosts it (except those that enhance ALL damage) - it is not a pistol/rifle/assault/melee nor any kind of energy, so all personal traits, skills and effects regarding boosting a specific weapon damage or fighting style (ranged/melee) do not apply to it. Can pair with a kit based build where you put all your traits, skill and boosts to kit pref.
Firstly, love your videos and I watch them all the time. Secondly, You're asking for corrections, LOBI is pronounced "low-buy" not "low-bee". See VOY episode: Caretaker @Quark's bar scene w/ Harry Kim. My favorite ground weapon is the Dual nanopulse Mek'leths.
I like the disco rifles personally the pulse rifles and sevens dual rifles then I like the tommy gun and shotgun projectile weapons don’t need to remodulate signal for borg
I've always loved the Dividian weapon, I forget the proper name, but it's the chain beam weapon, the synchronic something or other. It's probably rubbish as a weapon, but I just like the chain lightning/beam effect. I did manage to upgrade it to an Ultra rare version, I just wish you could have one for every bridge officer. I was able to claim it twice for some reason, but it won't let me claim it again for a third time. One of them won't upgrade, it says it is already at max, but the other one will upgrade, so a bit odd.
I usually get myself 50 lobi, and buy the Harold staff, as i c all it. it levels with you, and does decent damage.. even the borg cant adapt to it.. ;)
Have you added the anti Borg weapon from kings and queens Arc second mission. It's a replay drop only and drops at mk2 ultra. There is also the terrain knife which does in the device slot and is not upgradable sadly.
11:24 I just jumped on the game because I had done this mission earlier, and somehow in upping it to MK XV I got Epic - but it’s only doing 267.9 DPS my kit gives me 63.8 weapon Prof ( also Epic) idk what else would give me e more dps . Edit* I think I know - he’s probably got his Endeavour skill max out ~ ground kit , which is giving him the extra damage.
There was a free epic MK 15 phaser platinum snipurr rifle for a while to claim in the store (Discovery Platinum Pack or something) along with a platinum tardigrade non-combat pet, I think.
Lincolns ax is OP with new knife for different Malay attack like the throwing knife maxed OP only weapons you will need in game even pvp. This is why people won't pvp me I use busted builds and OP weapons either kill in two hits or kills your craft in 5 sec.
Ah, the 'old' DS9 storyline. I rather like it - more so than the current one; much more grounded in Star Trek Lore. But the missions were terrible.... oh god. You'll be running all over Bajor pressing F for hours; gardening and placing incense and what have you. Or, that godawful spacewalk from the time when Environmental suits were the new thing. If you wonder why it says 'jump up to a navigational point' on your eenvironmental suit - this mission is why [if dilithium mining is still like in the old days, that's where it worked too]. The Disco rifle still rolls at Ultra Rare, at least it did on my Disco Captain. At MkII, because you play that mission as a lieutenant. Which means, if you keep upgrading it, it'll be legendary around captain level. I'd like to add the CRM2000, from the Breen storyline. That's also hidden now, like the old DS9 missions. Not the best in the game either - but rather unique in that it's a sort of flamethrower that throws cold around and freezes enemies. I *think* it scales to level, too - but not sure. Back in the old days, the Breen [outside of TFO Borg] were probably the toughest enemies you'd face both on the ground and in space, but nowadays you can just push over them like everything else. The whole story wraps up in about an hour and a half - and you can get a funky 'cold looking' space set from it, too. Beware that there''s a talky-mission in here that you can *fail*, probably the only one left. Failing the mission means beaming out and starting over. It's not a fun mission to replay. Back then, people wanted choice and consequence because roleplay - but it seems they never did it again. Anyway. Look for missions with 'Cold' in it, the Deferi give it - but I forgot the name of the contact. Ambassador... Something. Cold Case, Cold Comfort, Cold dish best served vengeful, Cold plated Ferrari - that sort of thing.
No love for the new Breen pistol (from the Winter Event Store)?! That thing RIPS with the full set. (I know, I know, curse of the top 5: you can't include all the best weapons) Corefeld is stupid good for dealing with groups. It's my go-to for "Plasma Damage (Ground)" endeavours.
@mc stu Made a reply a few days ago, but it looks like it is removed because i included a link. One weapon which is often overlooked is the Kentari Partisan Residuum Thrower. This weapon can be utterly devastating and it has an added benefit that the Borg do not adapt to it. Try it and prepare to be amazed.
@@geminijustgemini7784 No, that is the Synchronic Proton Distortion Prototype Assault Rifle. That weapon used to be my go to weapon against the borg before the release of the Picard gun, First contact shotgun etc.

That Corfeld plasma cutter reminds me of the BFG9000 from Doom. I didn't know it could actually spray the beam like that. Are there any other weapons that can do that?
Hey MC Stu, love your videos, but got the love of.....please stop the annoying flashing questionmark ! Click on it, click on "What's new in Shadow's Advance", click on "house united" -> and everything new popping in lower left, until the questiomark stops flashing.... Hope to see you online -STO- Fritz, out 07
Great Video, thanks. How did you get the 90+ Kit Performance on the Imperial Romulan Navy Kit Frame? I saw you have [KPerf] x2 [KP/Wpn]. Did you get this randomly on upgrade, do those modifiers come guaranteed on upgrade or did you re-engineer this?
other then the [+Pla] [CritX] the mods are random on pickup, I believe I ran the mission a few times, then upgraded which add more mod when the quality when up.
@@MCStu Thanks for answering. I was hoping you knew a trick how to get this but I guess I won't get around the actual work; or maybe I stick to the Risian Kit Frame.
Hi Stu, these look ace but I'm assuming I can't really grab these & "upgrade" them until I hit 65?....I'm 40 atm but don't see where I can grab those phoenix things & such..
@@MCStu aaah haha cheers, I've watched so many of your videos, including this one recently that I forgot about this haha, thanks....i've been piling my dil into your fleet whilst levelling,,,guess I need to save a bit now lol
I do believe that you get a Romulan Plasma Repeater pistol as a mission drop. The mission is under the Iconian Arc first mission "Uneasy Allies". It's the same mission that drops the Romulan Imperial Navy ground set
@@marhawkman303 I hear you there. Usually what I do is run the mission for the set and then go for the Repeater. If you're lucky you can get more trash loot for salvage or a little extra EC. I really only go for the kit and armor, then if I feel like it, the pistol. But, buying the MK 1/2 from the sphere merchant and upgrading that does make the upgrade system a more viable (and easier) choice as long as you have the resources for it.
You can get Cardassian Boffs from the exchange, they come from Duff missions. As for bajoran ground weapons the only ones that I know of are from the DS9/Defiant bridge pack for the zStore.
@@MCStu Thanks, I found the BOFFS, and have been adding. Still trying to catch the DOFF mission to recruit them as well. I also got the DS9 pack, and the gear is pretty good. But can only equip one, so nothing for my BOFFs.
@@devilhell69 yeah you can but it takes a lot more time and investment, this video is just covering free weapons you can get when you hit the level cap
