Hey there, it's Tabitha from FlapJack! In this video, I'm going to share with you how I compile all my resource formats for a digital resource into one PDF and upload it to TPT or any other storefront you might use. We'll be taking a digital resource provided in multiple formats and converting it into a PDF.
To begin, we'll gather all the files we want to share and include in our resource into a Drive folder. Create a folder in your Drive account with the name of your resource and ensure that you drag all the necessary files into it, such as Google Docs or PowerPoint files.
Now that we have all the files in the folder, we can proceed to convert them into different formats. If you have a PowerPoint file and want to convert it to Google Slides, simply open the PowerPoint file in your Drive account, go to "File," and select "Save as Google Slides." You can also convert it to a PDF by choosing "File", "Download", "PDF" and then drag the converted files into your resource folder.
If you're working with Google Slides and want to convert it to PowerPoint or PDF, it's equally simple. For PowerPoint, go to "File", "Download", "PowerPoint," and it will automatically download as a PowerPoint file. For PDF, go to "File", "Download", "PDF," and it will save as a PDF file.
Once you've added all the resource formats to your Drive folder, the next step is to create a download PDF that links to all the different formats, making it easy for buyers to access them in one place. You can get a free download PDF template at bit.ly/TPTsellerdownloaddoc. After making a copy, you can replace the cover image with a screenshot of your resource and customize the text, colors, and copyright information.
For the Google Slides format, generate a copy link by changing the privacy settings to "Anyone with the link" as a viewer. Copy the link and paste it into the download document. Similarly, for PowerPoint and PDF files, make sure the privacy settings allow anyone with the link to view, copy the link, and add it to the download document.
To ensure a smooth user experience, you can use a website called slides.google.com/gdocstodirect to create direct download links for your files. This will bypass the sign-in process and automatically download the file when clicked. Simply input your share link into the website, create a direct link, and copy it into your download document.
Once you've added all the necessary links and made any additional customizations, you can convert the document into a PDF. Go to "File," select "Download," and choose "PDF." Rename the PDF file and include it in your resource folder.
Now you have a single PDF file that contains all the different formats of your resource. This PDF can be easily shared on any storefront, giving you more flexibility and reach.
