Some Norfolk Southern freight trains seen crossing Main Street in Boyce, Virginia, including the Jersey Central Lines heritage EMD SD70ACe, and DODX cabooses! 3 16 20
I can just picture my late father, going down those tracks. And also my grandfather, grt. grandfather and grt.-grt. granfather. Working on the railroad in Cumberland Co. NJ, Pennsylvania railroad, are in my paternal side of the family. Also the West Jersey Seashore line, Winchester & Western, finally Conrail. Great video! Brought tears to me eyes. Thank you for your railfanning ❤
Very Nice Catches I Like the shot with the Cardinal. And the Cats. I Like the Shot of the NS Heritage Locomotive. And the 2 Cabooses on the back of the Train.
Hi from Cornwall. Wow!! What a great video. The Jersey Central heritage unit is so handsome with the bright orange and blue colors plus the Lady Liberty logo It’s my second favorite NS heritage unit after the Reading Company’s yellow and green beauty. Of historical interest: the Statue of Liberty always figured in the Jersey Central’s corporate identity as its main terminal and ferry dock in Jersey City was right opposite the statue itself in the New York harbor. Best view!! Thanks again. Great fun video. JC heritage unit, red cardinals, DoD cabooses, fast trains, long trains, mid-train DPUs, neat old station....just fine stuff. Well done!! Stay healthy. CAS.
This is where we had our railfan meet up, caught 3 NS trains, The train symbols were 1. NS 288, 2. 12Z which had a Union Pacific engine in trail, 3. 27A which had 2 mid DPUs
One of your best videos wow awesome Train's and lashups they were Rollin too. Also love those caboose's too and the Jersey Central nice catch stay safe out there and happy Saturday ☀️😎🌞!!!
Thank you, Dave, for your 'coronavirus crisis' video...our isolation started on 3/15/20...there is incredible art on some of these cars...a colorful Cardinal...never seen a Jersey Central Lines locomotive before...thumbs up for your video.
Wow, long train ! The opening shot with what looked like a tight “S” bend was actually pretty subtle and that train was movin’ . It’s cool that NS takes the effort to paint heritage units. Stay off the tracks kitties, thanks for sharing!
Ah - red birds are a sign of good luck! And the cat is ever curious - he best not mess with those NS powerhouses though :) I spied a Jersey Centennial engine I think.
Wow that was incredible. Two Norfolk southern trains. One with the heritage unit and one with not two fully restored cabooses. Hey Norfolk southern are you planning to put Crews back in the cabooses?? If you are that's enough standing move😁. Because I saw your German counterparts showing. rebuilding the wheels replacing the wheels. Replacing the electric bushings everything and I felt like I was in the Juanita shops. And the spirit of my grandfather being there too. My mom's dad. That worked on the steam locomotive and then they switch to electric. And became an instructor. And when I was a little one. My granddaughter's age who is 2. My mom told me. Whenever he took me for a walk. He managed to find the Santa Fe yards. And the Burlington route yards. And the Katy. Sadly the Katy is gone. What if I was my grandson's age back then. The photographs of I would have if I had a smartphone back then.

Hmmm wonder what was on that train to rate two DODX caboose? DODX 900 Must have been something ? and who puts flats in the middle of the train and a whole lot of loaded heavy stuff behind them ? The must have never run old Tyco flats on model Railroads right after a locomotive and heavy hoppers on the end hauling pennies or 'C' batteries, LOL . I tell you, its a stretch to say that Tyco is a 'model' , But really you are asking for trouble empty flats and loads after them. Just saying.
