Ajax heeft zaterdagavond het duel met PSV om de Johan Cruijff Schaal verloren. In een uitverkochte Johan Cruijff ArenA eindigde de eerste officiële wedstrijd van het nieuwe seizoen in 3-5. Na een vroege openingstreffer van Steven Bergwijn scoorden de Eindhovenaren twee keer voor rust via Til. In het tweede bedrijf waren Antony en Mohammed Kudus nog trefzeker, maar door drie tegendoelpunten was dit niet genoeg voor de overwinning.

Ik heb die video echt genoten! Deze wedstrijd zat vol met geweldige doelpunten! Die kniecontrole en linksvoetige halve volley waren de schoonste afwerking, puskas-nominatiestof, zou ik zeggen. Maar het beste deel was toen de keeper die strafschop redde door zijn gezicht te gebruiken! It doesn’t mean anything. Almost every time the club that ends the 2nd in the competition wins it because they have to qualify for the Champions league so they get more time to prepare instead of the 1st because they instant qualify for group stage, so it’s mostly about how fit the selections are.

Unlucky game, defense wasn’t awake at all. At least we saw how Ajax is doing now in pre season. Should’ve been a win if you saw how they scored but still 5 goals against are way too many even if they are unlucky. Ajax attack and midfield is looking pretty well, Gorter needs some more time and Ajax should reconnect the defence but that comes with time. I have all trust in these boys, especially Kudus.

@@nanatebestman7534 Gorter is a good goalie but just too wild because he is young and wants to impress his new coach. You can see it the way he jumped trying to catch the ball from a header, just unnecessary. Ajax has two other options Pasveer, Stekelenburg which both may have their last season, because of their age. It is a hard decision because this can end up in 4 goalies so 3 are benched.

Je ziet aan alles dat de rek er bij Ajax nog voldoende in zit, maar dat het nog niet allemaal goed op elkaar afgestemd is. Nigeria's Calvin Bassey had a competitive debut match for Ajax to forget with that bad tackle that got him dismissed. That AFC Ajax defence on the night was terrible especially the goalkeeper. I hope they are not missing Lisandro Martinez already. Good to see Ruud van Nistelrooy coaching PSV Eindhoven, his former club before joining Manchester United in 2001. Luuk de Jong's experience will help PSV Eindhoven challenge for the Dutch Eredivisie title with AFC Ajax this season. Great curtain raiser for the 2022/2023 season. 👏

Ja dit is niet de Gorter zoals wij hem bij Eagles kennen. Vergeet niet dat hij een record heeft gezet met clean sheets op zeer jonge leeftijd. Ik denk dat het niet slim was om hem te laten debuteren in zo'n grote wedstrijd. Daarnaast vond ik z'n fouten ook geen mega grote blunders, eerder ongelukkig...

@@forzaeagles9370 Ik ben van mening dat Gorter met de juiste begeleiding en opgedane ervaring elders binnen 2/3 jaar daadwerkelijk een aanwinst kan zijn voor Ajax. Maar het is aan Ajax de taak om Gorter elders onder te brengen om ervaring op te doen. Denk daarbij aan een Fortuna.
