'As far as Roger is concerned you still have horses in training with him?' - @mcyeeehaaa 'You're pushing a button which I don't want to discuss, in racing the people don't want to hear the truth.' - Kia Joorabchian #ITVRacing
Correct Sir, can't understand the stick Chapman gets. He has great racing knowledge, sticks to his guns and asks the questions certain controlled pundits won't.
Absolutely spot on!!! What a shocking individual this chap is. He needs to learn very quickly that that’s not how to succeed in this wonderful industry we adore. Dickhead!!!
I didn't See a problem, Matt came back to a Question that he had already said He hadn't decided on yet. The owner wasn't rude and stayed composed imho.
Let’s not forget Roger Varian with Sakheer at Ascot. Not seen in the parade ring drifts to 9/1 and was the first one beat and apparently come back lame. Dirty cheat.
No , i dont know him , but his track record with trainers and jockeys is there for all to see . King of steel is now on his third trainer , horses get injured you have to live with it and stop throwing your toys out of the pram .@barrypeers8665
Well, I know of him now. And now, we also know what really happened to king of steel. This owner is a twit and hes a twit of the highest regard as far as you and I should be concerned.
Can't stand these temperamental owners, just look at the result on Big Rock today, I wonder if his old trainer would have let him on that ground today? Well done Mat Chapman for behaving like a proper journalist here and asking real questions.
@@Dwayndibb He's always been ridden from the front, can't understand why Big Rocks own decided to take his horse from Christopher Head to this trainer?
@@Dwayndibb I understand that she's a mare (although I didn't pick your point up immediately) but she's not in season? But it still probably wasn't the best thing to do anyway.
He is an appalling person and shouldn't be allowed to own horses. He has no loyalty to anyone. He doesnt understand horses. And he is a very bad loser. The game doesnt need him. How on earth can you fall out with Roger Varian who is just the most professional person?
Professional person? Letting Sakheer run at Ascot knowing full well he’s injured drifting to 9/1. Cheated people out of money and no concern for the horse
Says a lot about the sad state of football that this guy makes multi millions out of it whilst the game is being priced out of range of the average man and his family...
That’s your wonderful capitalism at its best. Isn’t it funny we’re told communism is bad yet china has most billionaires in the world. How does that work then
@@kaylaireland3494 i am an owner, ive been in Jimmy Frosts, Victor Dartnells and Sue Gardners yards. I was also an on course bookmaker now retired. I know the industry. There's triers, diers and liars.
This man cannot be trusted. If you get involved with him expect to be sacked when things don't go right and he throws his dollys out of the pram.He has no loyalty unlike a lot of owners.
Sounds like he's spat his dummy out because King of steel got injured. That's racing, horses get set backs. Varian is a fantastic trainer. As safe a pair of hands as anybody
I could tell first couple a times i saw and listened to him that theres a hidden anger in this guy he is false all happy and friendly when he is winning he is willing to discuss anything i wouldnt be within miles of having any dealings with this guy he is not a nice decent guy i promise you
So he's basically blaming Roger Varian for King Of Steel getting injured. Mr Kia , sound horses do get injured. Its part of the game. What's goes around comes around and great journalism from Mr Chapman it's his job to push those buttons!
Please keep people like this in flat racing. We have a nicer sort of person in National Hunt racing. I only follow Sir Mark Prescott on the flat and he won't have unsuitable owners.
There are some difficult owners in NH racing as well. The Rooney's come to mind, and who was the owner who recently removed all his horses from Ben Pauling's yard?
I wouldn’t wish for JP McManus to give this grown man a few lessons on how to conduct himself in the racing world - he’ll have find out who his friends are soon. He stands there with his hands in his pockets greets Matt Chapman with disrespect and answers - and thinks he owns the Racing World! We the public who purchase race Horses and retired racehorses keep this man wealthy one way or another!
No one should forget what Kia done to Tevez and Mascherano. In sure there were countless others less high profile. He is rotten to the core from start to finish. Would never back a horse he owns. He's a tyrant by all accounts.
Every now and then you get a rather troublesome, arrogant owner. I've been watching racing a long time. Anyone remember the infamous Daniel Wildenstein ? Threw an amazing wobbly at Royal Ascot with the late great Sir Henry Cecil when his horse Buckskin got beat. And this guy is cut from the same cloth. Horses get injured. It happens. Yet clearly this guy is blaming Roger Varian, which is sad and poor. Matt Chapman was right to bail out of this interview when it was turning ugly.
Big up Roger varian top trainer if u ask me deserves bit more respect than that surely, I ain't backing Amos army any more sod it nice one matt real as ever
@@lachlanmartin5573 so you’re telling me Sakheer drifts from 2/1 to 9/1, nobody sees him in the parade ring and then he’s the first one beat in the race. Then apparently he’s injured after the race? So they didn’t know beforehand? Why was there no investigation? It stinks. He’s a tool would’ve smashed them donkeys. Don’t even know why they’d fix it that Little Big Bear donkey was favourite. Unless Sakheer had a load of antepost money on him.
Hes not a nice fella this kia dude, constantly sacking jockeys and trainers, he seems a quintessential narcissist, we don't want his type in the business, he will run out of friends and move on too Australia or somewhere in the next couple of years.
The thing here is matt Chapman had this coming he's to much in your face he does it to everyone some don't even like talking to him what ever the opinion of this guy he said what others think he did not want to answer the question his right to do so so don't push it something matt Chapman had coming for a while it's like marmite you either like Chapman or you don't if I was either a owner trainer or jockey I'd give him a wide berth just my opinion of course
It’s his money. He’s entitled to do as he wishes and not what others would want him to do. I wouldn’t want to work with him but certain people are willing to take that chance.
He's a football agent who became wealthy, and has now bought a string of racehorses. Goes under the name Amo Racing, however, he's already sacked a number of trainers and jockeys. An arrogant piece of work if you ask me.
why do people gossip do you now this guy or rodger varian stop bitching on him , respect the privacy of owner and trainer if you have any respect for racing .
This is nothing new. I was reading the other day about the time when Mohammed Al Maktoum took all of his horses from Clive Britain and Henry Cecil. It happends like that.
It's happened for a while, Daniel Wildenstein was famous for removing his horse from successful trainers, even removed them from Cecil and Walwin, all trainers will lose their horses through temperamental hands on owners, but Amo do it too often with jockeys and trainers, soon they are going to run out of training for their horse if they continue to carry on at this rate.
@@robertdelacy3434 it doesn't matter how many He had with him, the point is He had enough horses with him that it took some capital when the horses left.
@@nightowl7459 who knows maybe they have a trainer in waiting the old guys will age out eventually. Guys like Joe and Don O'Brien will eventually land a big owner
@@sionrouge1697 I'm sure that there's plenty of smaller trainers who in time will eventually land big owners, let's just hope they don't land silly big owners who believe their horse should win every race they are entered in.
Not up to date with this but is he blaming Varian for injuring the horse? Seems that is what he is saying here? Getting to the stage where top trainers are going to say - thanks but no thanks to this particular owner.
But the racing game is a gamble itself, he should know that regardless of what money you plough into the game, it's no guarantee for success, he can't carry on blaming the jockeys and trainers for the horses not being good enough.
Compare and contrast his attitude with that of JP McManus, a warm and empathic man who has a wonderful reputation in racing. You can be highly successful, but also maintain good relationships and treat people well.
@mcculloch29 Anyone who thinks JP and the likes of Coolmore are not ruthless lives in a dream world. The only difference they have racing managers to do the dirty work. Also, JP and the lads have never not had a horse run on its merits ,so as to attempt a big gamble further on down the line
John mccrirrick would have pressed the life out of him for an answer .. chapman trying to play the peoples pundit don’t wash one iota with me .. he’s a paid bookies man !!
Brilliant by Matt Chapman he doesn't want to discuss it. What's the problem. Chapman gets stick don't know why guys asked what we wanted to know. Also i agree much better trainers than Roger varian n my opinion.
How pathetic was Chapman, because he's pals with Joorabchian, he doesn't press him on Roger Varian. If that was another owner he would have been his usual shouty boorish self. He is the worst of the ITV presenters and that's saying something.
To be fair to him, AMO racing have a great operation going on in Britian and America. So he must be doing something right . ( Kia is definitely impulsive though 💀 )
