My cat Malachi died when I was 9… he kept rubbing against us and asking for pets the day before he died. When it finally was his time, he hid in our basement and we found him quickly fading away. He purred the loudest he’d even had when we held his dying body in our arms. He was the sweetest cat I ever had and I’ll always remember him… Fly high Kai Kai.
My cat had cancer and he ran away we found him on the sidewalk not far from our house, dead. He was a loving cat and he did not want to hurt us emotionally I will miss him forever
I was worried when my cat kept leaving. He was too weak to be out there alone. I brought him back and was with him as long as possible. I have his ashes in a box
Dang🙁. I hope you all can heal from this. I lost a cat when he was only one year old, his name was Thunder. We lost him to worms, we now have three kittens but are making sure to deworm them every two weeks for a while. God bless you all though. ❤️
I actually had a cat who tried to hide away right before he died.... he hid under our porch, it was a family friend who found him acting odd, and tried to help him out... only for our cat to die in his arms, I remember that cat still... he was such a sweetheart around us the family. my mother had told me that cat was kinda the neighborhood bully, the biggest meanest cat in the area.... yet all I remember of him is how he used to give 0 shits about how rough my younger brother was around him. he never scratched me or him even if my brother was pulling their tail or fur.... he would lay on my lap for hours and let me pet him. I was devistated when he died... I was at school, and we buried him in our garden, wrapped in his favorite blanket. I will never forget him.
My cat died yesterday and I’ve really been trying to forget about her and I didn’t realize it was bad for me and now that you have reminded me I got to let out my feelings for her and now I feel a bit better so thank you 😢
Trying to "forget" isn't the way to go about it, you're bottling emotions up. Just grieve, come to terms, and then move on. You will miss her, but it will get better.
I'm sorry for your loss, but try to remember all the good times you had. Your cat wouldn't want to see you being heartbroken, would she? Feel happy she escaped this cruel world first, and that they didn't have to suffer for longer. And make sure to remember all the good, for mulling over the idea your cat is passed on constantly will do you no good. Really, there's a border between healthy sadness and unhealthy sadness. Make your cat happy, for they're in your heart and feel what you feel. Imagine that.
Just recently my cat passed away. All she wanted to do was be in my family’s beds and snuggle with us and our pillows. She wouldn’t eat or drink. We knew it was going to happen that night but I was still devastated. Fly High Maya🐈⬛❤
Having to put down a cat is the worst feeling ever it never knows when you think it is time even if it is for its own good. I had 2 twin cats that both died within 2.5 years of each other both had to be put down.
My cat never settled on car journeys, he would cry and wail. On the way to the vet in the car during his final hours, he curled up in a ball on my knee and was as peaceful as could be, purring. He looked up at me with tears filling his eyes and an obvious smile. I’ve never forgotten that moment. I knew he knew it was his time. He lived a wonderful 17 years and I’ll miss him forever. Even ten years on from his passing I’ll think of that moment when he just let me know he was going to be okay. I’ll never have another like Tango. I miss him terribly.
My doggo did something heartwarming as well. He was near the end of the line 15 solid years together and the morning we were supposed to put him down he removed his own colar and place it on the chair, almost like he wants us to let go as he is ready to let us go too 😭😭 My second boy was however unfortunate only 3 years old but struck with a brain tumor at that young age being a big dog breed. One if my neighbours could've helped save him by donating blood from his 3 big dogs. But he decided to reject me and my boy couldn't survive another day and became paralyzed half way on his face. We brough him to the vet and put him out of his misery, i will forever be hurt by this and couldn't move on from losing this boy.
My kitty cat died just before the new year, and my heart is still broken. Her name was Onyx, but I called her Oney. I had her for over 20 years, and she was the best, sweetest, cutest, fluffy kitty anybody could ever have. I miss her so much.. 🐈⬛️ 😢
My cat became super clingy when she got sick. She stopped eating so we took her to the vet. She had sores all in her mouth and she was given a steroid shot. We were told to comeback in a week if she wasn’t any better. We came back and they sedated her to check further. She had kidney failure so we put her down so she wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. Rip Princess you will always be loved.
I'm sorry for your loss I know how a pet you have loved and it's just went away I know that feeling I had like three dogs and one cat they're all died because they were not eating well and they were sleepless and they always write an in depression they're all died but I still remember them as my precious little princesses and Prince so I know how it feels I'm so so so so sorry for your loss and I'm I think that you should get a new cat and be attached to the cat so you will be more happy and you have some time to leave your pain in and be happy
My cat was almost 19 when he passed away last year. He was older than me and watched me and my brother grow up. We joke that he probably thought we were his kittens. He's always protected us fiercely and used to try and groom us when we were little, but our dad was always his favorite human because he fed him. Until a few months before he died. He got really close with me and spent hours at a time on my lap or bed. He wasn't sick, just old, and we all knew he was on his last leg. But he never stopped loving us even after he couldn't play anymore.
My cat has thyroid too, she has to take a topical ear medication twice a day for it we've been trying to treat train her. She also just went over to wet food for her kidney disease, she's been traumatized by the vet too. She is nearly 16 and all that has really helped her health, but she's still declining
My cat died and he was the BEST for Me... Before he died he hunted so much... He bringed me his toys and when he feeled that it's the end he layed down to his favorite tree and we found him at the tree dead... He just doesn't wanted to hurt us... And he was so young... Only 4... You was the Best for Me Marci and I miss You so much...
My Maleficent came into my kitchen when she was 7YO from being a stray for 5 years and refused to leave. She'd had her toes cut off and her tail, and had exactly 3 teeth. She never once tried to leave inside, no matter where we were. She even stayed inside the tent when we went camping. She started wanting extra affection, started playing with the kitten which she HATED kittens, and one day slipped out the door. I found her remains 8 months later. She'd left the house and walked about 100 yards and laid under a tree by the creek near our house and passed. I hadn't seen her when we first looked for her because the grass was high until they cut if this spring. She was 17YO and lived a pampered and loved life, and I know she left because she didn't want my mom to see her die. My 13YO Chewy was her soulmate, and he died at home from an illness two montgs prior, and my mom was inconsolable. Cats know, and they show how much they care in really obvious ways if you bother to learn how to read them.
My 15 year old cat died last year, he was very frail and he couldn't walk very well, he was always bleeding and his right eye got infected with a bad fungus, he was slowly dying for a week straight and I hated it because I could only watch, but he had stayed with me the whole time, not with any other of my family members, me, he literally slept in my closet at night so he could be right next to me, and after a hard week he finally passed away right next to me on the couch. But the most crazy part was the night he died, I had a dream where he could talk and he spoke with me for a few minutes, I don't remember exactly what he said but it was nice. And my dog who had died a year or two before also visited me in my dream the night he died. So I guess my pets will always give me one more goodbye before moving on.
@@Muzan_K. Noo!! I meant the dream part and the part where your pets will still leave behind their love for you😭😭. I'm sorry if you thought that I was talking about your cat dying being a good thing🥲
They pass away but they come to greet you when it’s your time to go. My cousin passed away at a young age and as she was dying she kept saying that Lily, her cat who died of old age a year before, was sitting on her lap and my cousin passed with a smile on her face 😢I firmly believe that Lily did come to reunite with her ❤
I have taken care of a lot of people dying from cancer etc and almost all of them see family, friends & beloved pets! It brings them peace and settles their fears.
I lost my little girl two years ago- she cuddled in my childhood blanket in her last days. Sometimes I think that I can still smell her scent on it... I miss her so much every day, I see her in every cat I interact with and it's so hard for me not to.
@@lesliemarquez4022 I absolutely am blessed for you see, two months after I lost my cat I felt compelled to go to a shelter that was a little out of the way. When I went there- I found a medium sized dog that would completely change my life. I know that she sent him from across the rainbow bridge. He's my service dog now.
Ive never lost a cat before. But i can confirm they care. After I got diagnosed with depression and finally got released from the hospital, the first thing my cats did were cuddle with me, all day. Theh didn't let me get up, they stayed with me the entire day. I remember crying, and the first thing my cat did was rub against my face. I love my baby. ❤️
Who knows, maybe there is an afterlife where they do. My family has had many cats throughout the years and they have always said they go to cat heaven when they go.
The last one is actually true. My neighbor poisoned my beloved Neno and he ran inside her house's roof to hide from us while he was suffering. Because of that nasty woman we couldn't save him in time (we wanted to check if he was in her house or not, but she didn't allow us to get in even when we told her the reason). I still cry every time I remember about it, blaming myself for not helping him in time :/
There was a stray cat with her two babies. She followed me and came to my home. The babies used to play in my backyard.I used to feed them and play with them with my older sister. The atmosphere of my home became so happy because of them. Sadly one of the baby died yesterday. There were playing and went outside and suddenly one dog caught her and was going to eat but when i was too late to save the cat. I was crying so hard. This morning when i went outside to see the other kitten and her mom they were not there . I looked for them ij my neighbourhood but did not find them. Even though she was a stray cat and lived with us for only 3 weeks she had became our family... Miss you so much sweetheart😔
@@justinhu9650It’s okay. It’s just their opinion & you are entitled to your own. Personally, I like cats more & own two kittens but I have nothing against dogs and quite like them as well ! Anyways, have a nice day :) ❤
I recently lost my cat and he did all of these things 4 months before up until he passed away. ❤️ 🕊️ it’s heartbreaking and also heartwarming to see your cat do those things, helping you prepare for the loss
@@qfk3”womp Womp” it’s sad that lil bro can’t deal with his crippling depression because his roblox girlfriend left him so he bullies other people so he can deal with it because he has no friends and no family because they all left him
Mostly before cats die they hide away, not because they are trying to save their owners from witnessing their death but because in the wild it is safer for an ailing cat to hide than to be in the open exposed to predators. It is an instinct. My cat did this when she was really sick (fortunately she was cured
I can't bear to imagine, how bittersweet it would be, knowing the signs At least you would get to say goodbye to each other, and make those last weeks or months better
I remember my dog. Before he died he was hiding in the house and not coming close to us before we took him to the vet. I was with my grandma when my mother called her. The second she picked up the phone I knew it. I started crying on the spot
I have sympathy; so I had a dog named Mia, who was older than me at the time, and she was OLD. She died of age and I watched her die. I've been traumatized by her last seizure ever since. I have her ashes... 😭😭😭
We had to put her down due to kidney failure, the saddest part is not being able to tell them that they're gonna be put down. One minute shes sitting there with us just thinking shes back at the vet, and the next minute shes gone. That got me.
@@SK-lo6dr I'm so sorry for your loss, I lost my baby girl at 15. There was nothing I could do, she was paralyzed and couldn't move because blood couldn't reach her legs, she would yelp in pain, it was so sad to see. The vet gave her painkillers and I had to make the decision then and there. Her condition was fatal with a very low chance of surviving, even with treatment, she would be in pain the whole time during the treatment as well.
Out of curiosity, what breed were all of y'all's cats? Right now I'm trying to find someone selling Siamese Kittens because I just love them ( plus my mom's on her deathbed rn and Siamese cats are her favorite so I want to make sure she at least gets to see and pet a Siamese cat before she dies )
My childhood cat was always super distant my whole childhood but then became clingy and started doing a lot of these things, a few months later he died. I miss Shady so much
I didn't know about this. I just realized that the childhood cat our family had, before disappearing was especially clingy and even hunted down many rats around and then mysteriously disappeared. We thought she was just out for a walk then he didn't went home for the whole night, the whole family looked for her everywhere and didn't saw any traces. I even thought he was catnapped but my great grandma just comforted us and told us that she went to another place where he's happier and free, and that she had already completed her mission since we were already kids several years old at that time and not toddlers or a few years old anymore and already protected us enough. She didn't say she died, but just said went to a better place after taking care of our family 🥺
We found a cute blue and white cat outside and noticed it was in pain, it was nearing the end of its life, we sent her to the vet and they said she'd had so much damage that it wasn't able to be fixed, so they had to chose the safer option, to leave her out, so she could die comfortly in her last moments.
Our first cat was almost 22 when he passed. He spent most of his days just laying down and occasionally dragging himself to his food- eventually we had to help him with that and getting to his litter box. He just moved less and less and slept more and more until one night when I went out for dinner I got a text from my family asking when I’d be home- which I found to be unusual as they’d always been fine with me being out late by that point. I got home and when I saw my brother waiting on the porch I somehow knew that something had happened…and then I saw our cat’s toys and favourite blanket in the mud room and immediately knew. I regretted not being there in those final hours.
Cats don’t usually get closer to their owners near death and actually do the opposite, attempting to distance themselves to lessen the blow on you, which shows that they love you SO MUCH that when dying they choose what they think will be best for you
That made me cry I was not ready and my boys just came to me. They sence our emotions! It's so true and they are epic! It's a privilege to have any animal a real honor.
My cat did almost all of these before she passed ❤ Her death was extremely heartbreaking and I miss her so much ❤ I have a blanket that she would always cuddle up with and I've kept it and haven't washed it because it still has her scent ❤ I am so sorry for anyone's loss of a pet or a loved one. I hope you can recover from the horrible feeling of it ❤
I have recently lost my cat...This video made remember my cat😭😭Remembering Her face before passing away makes me so sad😭... Hope she is happy whereever she is....
Last year when we had to put out cat of 17 years down. They told us before the procedure we had to give her this medicine that calm her body a full week beforehand. The whole week she was just laying down in the same spot. She wasnt eating ir drinking water. I had to syringe to get her to drink water at least. Then the day of she went on her last patrol. Its almost like she knew. She just walked everywhere, checking everything. Even went on the neighbors yard, just look at everything smelling everything. Almost like she knew and just wanted to enjoy everything one last time before we took her to the vet. I recorded everything. I have like 17 minutes of footage of her to walking around one last time.
@@UncleGisueppesBoiledBeansI have never felt a worse pain than losing 6 of my cats. Not any of my family members dying have even compared to that pain.
I lost my cat Davenport recently. He was old and had some health issues. One night I got a feeling he may not be around much longer. I put him on a fluffy body pillow I had with some food and water close so he wouldn't have to walk to it. I found him the next morning and he had passed in the night, cozy with a full tummy. He was a good boy.
my cat did all of these… i wish i could see her again… she was such a good girl… so sweet. it makes me feel really happy that she loved me enough to wish for me to be happy in the end, she was such a nice cat. ❤
