Deserved more or less yes. But very few people like him and I am not one of them. His fights are mostly boring and they don't sell. He has no starpower and I am just being honest. So if the fight goes to decision Edwards will win.

What people don’t realize is Leon is basically Belal Mohammad but with a striking base instead of a grappling base. They both work equally hard but I’d say Leon’s defensive grappling is better than Mohammad’s offensive grappling. And Leon’s striking is obviously much better than Bella’s.
@@deacon6221 your point is right but Belal it's not the same since their last fight he's definitly a different fighter, his grappling is on point right know I think he can do what Colby couldn't do that is basically taking down Leon and controlling him more than 2 or 3 minutes, a brutal ground and pound and TKO him. It's a boring fighting style but it's necessary to win against a Good strikker with Good takedown defense
@@francolopez9928 Disagree, Belal finished Sean Brady who is a can. That’s it. Leon dominated Usman in the third fight who is basically Belal but way better in every way. Usman can finish, dominate and submit. Belal hasn’t done any of that at all.

He’s def earned it by winning and continuing to stay relevant in the top of the division. I don’t care for his style at all but it’s a deserved title shot he could’ve gotten a rightful title shot a year ago too honestly.
He has wins over guys like gilbert burns, Stephen Thompson 😅 ranked number 2 in the division and usman is first...its the only logical person to fight for the belt
His last 4 wins burns, Brady, luque, wonderboy all were top 10 when he beat them. If it was anyone else u would all be crying for them to get a title shot
