Messy to Minimal is my absolute favourite category of your videos. I've legit watched them one at a time more than once everytime i need to declutter 😊. Cannot wait for the new videos! Xxxx
It is so lovely that you donate to animal shelters. I am trying to declutter a ton of stuff before I move next year (graduating college 😌) and this is so inspiring.
I completely agree with you about the challenges of decluttering the kids’ toys 😩 I get so sad when we’ve clearly grown out of or moved on from certain categories and interests. This was so motivational - thank you!!
ohh one more thing i keep my counters totally clear nothing on them everything out of sight and it´s so much easier to clean and it makes the kitchen look so peaceful and tidy i love it!😁😁
Also been loving the messy to minimal content. Would love to see a bathroom declutter. We can store and hoard a lot of products we dont need. And its a perfect time to declutter before the new year.
I'm so excited for the return of your Messy to Minimal series! This series was the reason I initially found your channel during the pandemic, and has been such a blessing to me! I'm so glad that you mentioned strengthening our decluttering "muscles". I am gaining confidence with each decluttering project, and hopeful that it become even easier with increased practice. Thank you for being an inspiration. 🙂 GOD bless you and your family this Christmas season!
So excited for the return of messy to minimal! I feel like you were by my side the entire time while I was decluttering my own home. I so appreciate that! You gave me the encouragement to keep going 💛
The fact that messy to minimal episodes were 3 years ago means I’ve been watching you for awhile! That’s so awesome! I can’t wait for the new series! It’s helped me also get my home in order as well!
That would be fun to see some comparison clips (then & now) showing how your approach has changed or remained the same. Helpful for those in the beginning/early stages where it might seem overwhelming and encouraging for those who are farther into peeling back layers to keep up the process. Thanks for all that you share and a Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Just decluttered under my stairs watching this!! I need to work harder on this I hate clutter my kids and husband love to keep everything .. everything has a memory even a tiny piece of paper drives me nuts so I'm trying to work on this thru the process!! Love you channel
I'm already looking forward to my annual January decluttering! I started a major January household reset about 5 or 6 years ago (decluttering, cleaning, organizing) and it's the perfect way to welcome a new year :)
I think it's great that one woman and one channel out of all the other RU-vidrs and channels that I'm subscribed to, is able to impact my lifestyle so much. I seriously have learned so much from you, Natalie, and you have taught me the joy and peace of living with functionality. 💛 Merry Christmas to you and yours! ⛄
Tip for donating seasonal decor - date the box for a month or two before the holiday next year to take to the donation center and put a note on calendar. Yes, it will be in your house/storage but with a goal date to pass on.
Currently decluttering the kids toys while I watch this. It’s so satisfying!!! But also hard. I can think of a bunch of ways to utilize a toy we’ve grown out of and then I start to overthink it but sometimes it’s just time to say goodbye. Thank you for the motivation!
Yay! Messy to Minimal is what brought me to your channel. I was getting sad thinking you were going to say that chapter has come to a close, so I am super happy you are doing more!
I been here since the beginning of the messy to minimal series and let me just say I am so excited for the upcoming series! I remember when you first started, and I commented on your video, saying something along the lines of “Thank you for being so real.” You showed us how your closet actually looked when compared to all the other ‘cleaning ladies on RU-vid’ never showed anything like that and it’s funny because now I’m seeing a lot more RU-vidrs trying to be as real as you and I think it’s because of you that they started doing that. You are amazing and I’m always excited to watch you vids, thanks for everything girl
We are in the middle of a full home renovation and all of our stuff is packed away. Thank the lord my husband now realizes he likes having less stuff in the house. So as we are unpacking soon I will be decluttering and I am so excited!
I found your channel during messy to minimal and went through my house with you :) There's something about decluttering in November/December, to give to charity, and animal shelters whilst also making our homes 'breathe'. 🏡
So excited for the messy to minimal reboot! That is seriously what hooked me to your channel and you have become one of my top fav channels. You, Dawn, and Christine have been my fav videos! I really like Amy Darley for cleaning videos too. I live in the south and she feels like my neighbor lol
Love the fact that you donate items to the animal shelter. I’m always surprised at the amount of stuff you are able to collect. Also SO excited for the return of Messy to Minimal!!❤
A hubby three growing kiddos, a couple kitties and running a full time content creation business can make the stuff add up! Even with being super intentional about our purchases!
Can’t get enough of your videos the last couple months! I’ve been doing major decluttering ahead of the holiday and it’s been so nice to see blackblank spaces in my house
I have loved watching your “messy to minimal” videos since three years ago. They inspire me as I watch them to try and get rid of stuff. I have a hard time of letting go of things since I am more of the sentimental type for everything or have a connection with it. 😬 Thanks Natalie for taking the time in your videos to show how this is done. ❣️
You are such a positive influence for so many of us. Thanks for the great content and the decluttering motivation. I hope you and your family enjoy the holidays!
We have a “Mimi Basket” it is usually filled with things my mom has forgotten and her dishes from food she has shared with us. I love it because it gets it out of the way and I can just grab it the next visit. 💛
I absolutely love that you donate to an animal shelter. Also the “this ain’t my crap” basket is awesome 😂 I’ve watched you M to M series multiple times. We are gearing up to remodel in 2023 so I’m sure I’ll watch it again.
Love to watch your videos and see you cooking and cleaning and decluttering what you don’t need we all have the same problem keeping stuff that we don’t need
I just went through each room in my house and decluttered. I got rid of 2 amazon boxes, a pullups box and 2 bins worth of stuff. Feels great having it all out of my house
I really feel like the whole decluttering mindset really does take a level of planning and thought and it just strikes me as such a specific way to be good stewards of what God has given us. It's part of biblical stewardship really! I don't know why I never thought of it that way before. To find ways to reuse, pass on, take inventory of what we really need and what we don't and to be mindful in the process of just how these things have a purpose and a season and we can be thankful for them. Really a great way to worship and be good stewards of what God gives us. Thank you being such a great inspiration in that way!
I have been rewatching all of your M2M series while I work during the day at home because they're my FAVORITE. I had to pause this video to come shout YAYYYYYYYYY in the comments that you're restarting it for this house!!!! This makes me so happy!!!
Every time I watch your videos, I am so relaxed and motivated. Natalie, you have such a peaceful, gentle spirit. It just radiates thru your channel. That is a beautiful gift! Thank you so much 💓 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 😊
I like messy to minimal but another thing I enjoy is decorating! Also room refreshes so if you had plans to cozy up the space I love watching those too
Can I just say HOW excited I am for your new series? I tried watch the old messy to minimal and, how can I say it, I feel like we've both moved on since then. It almost feels like watching a different person! Looking forward to your reflections and insights now looking back. It's going to be such good motivation, and I'll definitely be doing my house along with you! Wishing you and the fam a very merry Christmas, love from London x
I'm super excited for the revamped Messy to Minimal series! Perfect timing too with the New Year and helping everyone reset after the craziness of the holidays 💛💛💛
My kids are 10, 9 and 7 and I still have trains and hot wheels! Haha. It seems like they don't lose their charm if they are "rotated" out or allowed to play with outside! For some reason trains and cars become magical again when I give my kids permission to play with them in the driveway haha. I've attempted to sell our train collection because it is huge but have never had bites. I've had grandmas encourage me to keep them if I have the space because they make great toys to pass down through the generations. Also... I usually pull them out when we have guests over who have little kids that enjoy them and I'm always glad I have a collection of things to entertain other people.
💛💛💛 from a fellow Washingtonian. I grew up in sultan in snohomish county and I miss it all the time. I adore your content and as a mama of two I don’t get much me time but I always make sure every week to sit down with a cup of coffee and watch your new content 💛💛💛
Ok I’m so excited! I actually started watching you since your first messy to minimal video, your kitchen, back in Jan 2020. I’ve enjoyed every single video since! I’ve been decluttering since 2018 and I feel we’ve been on the same simplicity wave length! Can’t wait to watch your new videos for 2023! I hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas! God bless you mama!
Really love this one. What a great idea to check every area for a declurrer. The animals will love the linens; towels and coat for warmth - I can see the animals sitting on one of those 💜
You are N💛T the only one who stores baking pans inside the oven. Mine have lived in the oven since I was a kid and I just carried on with it and I am 60 now 😉
I just did the SAME thing with my son's trains! Passed them on to his sister who has been really into them lately, and it was kind of jarring to realize he has outgrown them!
So excited for your announcement, I too have been in our place coming up to 1 year. Except we went from a bigger place to a smaller one, so I have way more to donate. I have done it all year now but it's down to the nitry gritty now. So I need to go through ALL the categories again, clothing, kids toys, kitchen, linen etc
Yay! I am looking forward to the updated Messy to Minimal series. I watched your videos after retiring from teaching, and even though I wasn't a keeper of clutter, it helped me decide how I wanted retirement to be: Less stuff, more time for experiences.
I recently started working from home 100% and I’ve struggled to adjust to having a home office that I actually like. I don’t want to just start putting stuff on walls and such but do want to have a space I enjoy that isn’t cluttered. I have an L shaped glass desk with no drawers which is hard bc I don’t have a lot of storage. I also split the home office as a toddler playroom where I store most toys in the closet but there’s space for play near my desk. I’m really trying to make it work but lots of toys and supplies out in the open…it’s not working. I look forward to your office video with great tips to make it look nice, practical and minimal. Thank you!
I have been decluttering and cleaning all morning. Needed a bit more encouragement to cross the finish line, so I decided to watch this week's video while I grabbed something to eat to refuel. Encouraged and reenergised now - thanks, Natalie! 💛
💛💛 Wow, 80%?! That's amazing. I've been decluttering for almost 2 years now, from my old house to my new apartment. You can imagine how much I had to downsize. 😁 The one category I fail in though is blankets. I'm terrible at getting rid of any of them, I just end up making nests for my cat. lol
I’m so excited for the new messy to minimal series!!! That’s when I initially subscribed, and I will love doing it along with you again! I’ve been wanting to go through my kitchen again, too! 🙌🏼👏🏼
Ahhhh I love that you’re bring it back!! That’s originally how I found you and started doing it for myself along with you!!! Eeekkk!! This is so exciting! 🤩🤩🤩
Moving house again and using this video as early morning motivation to get the last bits and pieces packed and cleaned up. I am so excited to see more Messy to Minimal! 😁💛💛💛
Something that has helped me with emails….I have an email account for school/church. I have an account for work and farm bills. And a separate account that I give stores and online shopping….basically garbage. That way I’m not scrolling through tons on garbage to find important messages. And I never need to go into the garbage email. Unless I want to!!!
Love how you can throw stuff through your window to your porch! How handy! I definitely have a “not my crap” bin in my entryway closet and it’s fantastic. Usually has Tupperware I need to bring back to my mom or MIL 😂 Thanks for the seasonal decluttering inspiration!
💛I bought one of the wrapping paper keeper. It’s under the guest bedroom bed. Which I have to move around within the next few weeks. I had to move a nightstands out of my living room. That is where I’m putting my tree. Next I need my husband to get the ornaments and decorations from our shed. I need to declutter my whole house. I want to clean out a bottom cabinet for my stand mixer. And my husband wants me to clean out a top cupboard to use along with our pantry. I try to organize the pantry. But that lasts about a day. So I may do that after Christmas.
So needed the reminder to unsubscribe from texts and emails!! The constant bombardment of advertising clutter was irritating, but I kept telling myself it was easier to just delete each thing. It wasn't and now I don't have FOMO or the unnecessary extra thing to do. Thank you!
Hey Natalie! I came across your channel during a pantry declutter and organization video💛💛💛! It’s nice to see you come so far with the simple living lifestyle. Your ideas/tips have help me so well. The one thing I’ve started doing because of your videos was storing food containers with the lids on. That’s been a huge game changer in my home with a family 6. Leftovers never saw it coming 😂 thanks again. Excited for the videos to come.
I'm so excited for your Messy to Minimal continuation series. I'm glad I came to your channel around the time you started that series. Thank you for your motivation! 👍💜
💛Merry Christmas🎄🙏 My son and I have been sick as well😐 I hope everyone in your home is well and recovered before Christmas. Enjoy your time off, well deserved.
Sometimes when watching “minimalists” I cringe at their lack of preparedness for a power outage, financial emergency, medical emergency, etc.. I don’t feel that way when watching you. I’m VERY much looking forward to your perspective & tips for simplifying our home spaces! You are a blessing in this season! 🤍
Oh thank you! I actually talked about this very thing in this video if you want to take a peek! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8368XGE1Th8.html
Great list. They were different than other content out there right now. So excited about the new messy to minimal. Loved your pantry episode and garage ( everyone has a dumping ground)
Yayyy messy to minimal is back, cant wait. Christmas blessings and a happy new year to you and your family natalie. Thank you for another year of great content, community and friendship, god bless you 🧑🎄🎅
I'm so excited you are doing new messy to minimal episodes! I first discovered your channel with your original series and they are my favorite videos that you do!
I love how you open that window and toss stuff out! I’ve got so much decluttered, but since we are in an RV traveling, I often just toss it in storage when we hit home base. Probably need to tackle that soon! 😂
Idea for a topic: You’ve mentioned before being neurodivergent and having other neurospicy folks in your house. How does this impact your inventory decisions and the types of things you decide to keep on your minimalism journey? How do you make your home more comfortable for yourself and your family with your unique neurodivergences in mind?
