I can't believe the reckless fireweaver survived the whole game. When I play it in my Prosper deck it is either countered or destroyed within a turn.

Two Jund Commanders that want to do the same thing, yet in very different ways was fun to see. Amy is always fun to see, if just for the creative commentary. Taalia had shown her deck on Instagram and I was happy to see it here because it is the exact same deck concept I want to run. Also, Eilidh, watching you play blue is always fun to watch since you hate it so much. 😅

There were so many moments in this game where I wonder what would have happened if something was done differently. It was a really cool game with lots of tough decisions.

This definitely is a close second to Command Zone in quality EDH series! Great job all you beautiful people!!!

I've got a Korvold, the Fae-Cursed King deck that I built to make food and rat tokens, Reckless Fireweaver puts in some serious work. It's definitely my favorite flavor deck, I imagine making a horde of food to feed to Korvold and rats swarming to try and steal it from them. Sometimes the rats are snacks as well.

Definitely my favorite EDH gameplay channel! The banter, the decklists, the guests....it's all amazing. Y'all are awesome, keep it up :)

Taalias Tibalt should have come with 10 loyalty counters due to Doubling Season, so she could ultimate him and exile all graveyards. Dont know if there was something useful though and the dockside topdeck was really cool :D

That was a nailbiter, fun ending!

I run white border lands in my Salt deck, atm it's Unlimited Plains (some people need an explanation on how cards work, at which I point out my land explains how it works and laugh) and the rest are 3rd Edition for the T tap, because I just love that T tap. The white borders are there to bother people, it's a deck designed to irk people, (and win, it's a cEDH deck, because nobody can complain that you Puzzle Boxed them in cEDH). In regards to Olivia's 'don't look at the top card', all top decks are clearly quantum events, where you draw what you need if you're supposed to win, and draw poop if you're supposed to lose. The trick is figuring out how it decides who wins, and not misplaying and thus throwing away potential wins! Also, more fingerless gloves plz

Fireweaver is such a good card in red treasure decks. And with access to black reanimating it and or dockside makes for some explosive plays.

one of my favorite episodes to date. I did scream a little when Taalia cast the Tibalt side instead of the valki side to sling it so she could make the tokens. Especially when she turned it over to look at what the creature side did. But I do always love seeing a dockside win.

STATS time! Olivia, looking at the moxfield list, I counted up land sources of red/green/black (so cultivate would only have yelped if you drew that but isnt included when counting). Assigning dual lands earn 1 point in each colour they could produce while monocolour lands can only produce 1 point worth (This points system doesnt deal with modal duel lands like Graven Caims so well. My initial conclusion is its just 1 land and thus should be treated as 1 point for black and 1 point for red). *Such that your lands produce 35.14% red, 27.03% green and 37.84% black (13, 10 and 14 points respectively).* Doing the same for colourful spells but counting double pips as 2 points and triple pips and 3 points, like Asceticism and Vigour respectively BUT hybrid spells like Gleancrawler only counts for 1 point in both black and green, because it could be a mono black card or a mono green card if you only wanted to play basics and one basic type - maybe it is right to count it as 1.5 points for each colour yet I’m not bothering with that level of detail). *So your spells are divided 27.84% red, 45.36% green and only 26.80% black (27, 44 and 26 points respectively).* Conclusion, balance your lands to meet the casting requirements of your spells. If I didnt make any mistakes of entering data, green spells with 2 or 3 pips outweigh your red and black slightly. Like apart from Eradicator Valkyrie and Sign in Blood, you only have 2 spells in the early game that need double black (the enchantments that you want early with double pips). Maybe lean into the concept that this deck just splashes black and it really is a R/G deck. Then cards like Vigour are reasonable to cast (The other option is also play 40+2 DFCs lands lol so you can cast spells) (I assume the uploaded decklist thats 7mo old is accurate enough)

casting then sac'ing Valki would have also won it. also there was at least one double treasure token trigger missed. the fireweaver was definitely the mvp.

This game is about as close as a game I recently played, where I had the following: - Fiery Emancipation - Makeshift Munitions - Stalking Vengeance - Skargan Firebird, with 3 +1/+1 counters - Avenger of Zendikar - 7 1/2 plant tokens - a 13/15 Neheb, the Eternal My opponents were at 27, 12, and 28 life respectively. I was at 2 life. I also had 8 red mana available, having generated 21 red mana from Neheb's ability and spent 13 mana, having paid 5/G/G to bloodrush the 9/9 Skargan giant/troll and give Neheb +9/+9 and trample. The following took place in Main Phase 2: Basically, I throw the 6/6 at the opponent with 12 life, dealing 21 damage; throw the Neheb at the opponent with 28 life, dealing 42 damage; and throw the Avenger and 2 plant tokens at the opponent with 27 for 27 damage. #FieryEmancipationForTheWin

Awesome episode as always! Arcades is such a strong commander and normally can be a nightmare to kill but that sneaky Reckless Fireweaver is exactly the kinda card that can throw Molotov cocktails over those walls lol Speaking of Reckless I took the time to add up exactly how much damage it did and the results are in, they have been counted and verified lol It did 24 damage to Olivia, 34 damage to Amazonian, 38 damage to Ali for a total of 96 damage across the entire game and players. Dayum that "common" put in some work. lmao GG ladies.
