That my friend was a good intro I've seen this jellyfin recently one time and forgot to save the clip still don't fully understand from this intro what exactly it does I got an idea but don't want to sound like a dummy and don't wanna put it up here until I really understand. The other guy that put one up and started out with first showing off the unit that he got for free I guess, that must be nice, but it was a badass computer, serving up as well and he was using an Asus with 4:20 TB drives loaded on the front portion of the system you can physically pull out and insert which was a good component so you don't have to open it up and do it the old way. But I fell in love with that unit because I'm still working on my 5-year-old del it's still handles large processing and RAM heavy programs that I fell in love with that thing when I saw it with much envy,! Currently I am broke going through a hard part of life due to the theft (that's what dying does to you , I had a massive seizure in July 2021 that's why I say that cuz I was clinically dead- hard to make money, ) if I can make one suggestion to do a little bit more of explaining exactly what it does on the first video that I'm watching here. Hey :) Looks like youre new to the self hosted space. If you want to learn what jellyfin is, i recommend you search a beginners guide here on youtube. The channel "TechHut" made a really good guide a few years back
Is there any plugin to watch online movies free with this, like fmovies, or classics that are not copyrighted any more from certain websites, maybe a work around to stream online links/content as well Using the jellyfin server to send / cast that content to any client , phone or whatever?
Not that I'm aware of, since jellyfin fundamentally works by streaming content from your harddrive/nas to your devices. But if you haven't yet, you might wanna do a little research on "the arr's" and a vpn on reddit for example
No need to be. Its very easy to learn and understand. just watch and introductory video on docker and youll see why its such a popular option for this sort of thing
