Hello everyone! Today we are taking a look at an incredibly rare Jurassic park piece of merchandise. And that is the Lex Murphy riding Ralph the baby Triceratops 1992 piggy bank, which depicts a scene from the book/screenplay that was cut. Big thank you to my brother Mark and Astrid (who sadly passed away last year) for helping me solve the mystery of this piece! X

I would've liked to see Lex riding Ralph in J.P. I think it would've helped balance out all T-Rex and Raptor scenes. Plus it sounds like a fun scene!

I would've LOVED that raft T. Rex scene, those were really scary sequences in the novel, and any scene with the Rex in the film just blew me away. But I understand the Mr. DNA scene, that had to convey a way to understand the science behind bringing back the dinosaurs, it was essential.

That baby triceratops in lost world as Ralph is a nice easter egg. I've never heard of it before and it's kind of cool that Ralph and the even the riverboat scene were things they kind of squeezed into other movies. You definitely have a rare treasure on your hands.

I have not ever seen, nor heard of this item and I was a HUGE Jurassic Park nerd when it came out in the 90s. I always like the oddball and rare collectable items. Interesting video & some good comedy bits with the nose and the sneezes and generally nerdiness.

Laura Legends grows into a more and more rare unicorn every time she posts a video. Attractive, open about being a geek, collects from two of the greatest toy eras ever, and female is unheard of in my area. I never once expected to find someone into (or even knows of), the same things as me, let alone the person being female. Instantly subscribed and look forward to future great videos. Watching your vids gives me substantially more hope and joy to know there are others, making me less of an outcast.

I remember this thing! I used to have one! They used to sell this piggy bank in the Universal Studios theme park gift shops in Florida and California! It was one of those things that weren't "mass produced" and you could only buy at Universal. I didn't think it was so rare... they used to have shelves of these things there. Lol

I remember I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood several times between 1990 and 1992 but I don't remember seeing him at all. I remember, for sure, going during the time of the movie during those many visits. This things you miss that become super rare and collectible 30 years later. I sure I could fill a house with that stuff.

That's quite the Dinosaur Bank(not a PIGGY). I think the red on Lexi's lips is her tongue sticking out, I think that would make sense in the scene you described from the original script. Have a truely great day.

I believe that isn't actually from the movie memorabilia, but it looks like one of the things that were in the museum tour merchandise that had a lot of stuff based on prototypes made for the movie.

I found that to be the one redeeming factor of the 3rd film was that they were able to fit that scene from the 1st book in there. In the book I remember hearing something about Raptors eating babies at a hospital or something. Did that happen or am I remembering it wrong? Anyways, Best day & Best wishes to you & yours.

Laura Legends Very cool Review ! hummm i thought that Piggy Bank or should i say Dino Bank ! Da Da ! lol :) was somthing you could get from the Gift store at the Universal studios theme park back in 1993 ! hence why the stamp on the bottom says Universal studios and just not the usual Universal like on other items from 1993 . i could be wrong but just a thought .

Oh it's more than paying homage that scene in JP 3, pretty much every major set-piece in the 2nd and 3rd movies are leftovers/re-workings of scenes from the Jurassic Park novel. It's pretty hilarious how little of The Lost World there is in the 2nd movie, pretty much just the basic premise and trailer going over the cliff.

Never steen this. I have a really large baby Sinclair and i cant find any info on that one. It is very Well made and hard vinyl. I am looking for info and have been looking for at least 15 years now.... during that period i have seen three (two of them i now own) Its frustrating that I can’t find any info on it. (No it is not the plush baby Sinclair with the soft vinyl head that can talk,it is also not the small one). Items like that are fun because it keeps you busy searching for info...I love it(but it can also be very frustrating) You have a great item there 👍🏻

This girl looks like she fell in a vatt of smoldering super gorgeous, shes beautiful, well spoken ,seems intelligent. Even her voice is soothing to the ear.she makes that Jurassic tshirt look like a evening dress. And shes a dork.a beautiful elegant goober. I’ve recently started collecting statues and the such and have been watching the legend herself,yes I’m an ego feeder and LEGO my eggo eater, and love this girls sense of humor.
