"Gay can you come in to my office" "Ogay" "Gay your getting a promotion. You... are... now... SUPER GAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! AND SHALL SUPER SLAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!"
Because lesbian relationships are more sexually acceptable than gay relationships. I'm not justifying it or promoting it. As a bisexual man, it's what I've noticed over the years. Heck, the producers probably even like it. I mean, two-girl love? So hot! /s
@@morningivyI can see how that might be true. Also from what I've heard the lesbian promotion in lightyear was a blink and you'll miss it thing. Very easy to edit out for that sweet Chi Com money! Whereas Ballister and Ambrosius' relationship has more screen time, and so is markedly harder to edit out.
I saw a few people say to make it kid friendly but homosexuality is kid friendly because its just a relationship just like heterosexual relationships but with different genders
As soon as I heard it was rejected by multiple studios (before this video) I said out loud “it’s probably bc they’re gay” and I was right. This has happened wayyy too many times I mean I’m kinda happy Disney didn’t get this tho bc this is now one of my fav movies
They're not promoting anything. They never talk about their sexuality, they just happen to be gay. It's also "weird" that our inclusive overlords at Disney rejected this film.
it's not that they think lowly of gay people, it's that queer representation removes most of their revenue. Disney wants money, and gay people usually don't give them that money. It's all about profit. If gay characters will make them money, they'll do it. If not, then they won't.
Those who banned miss the best movie...its their loss...its one of the best animation movie..I cried a lot at the ending...and happy that she is back...❤
i will agree that the movie is awesome and really funny even for adults who still haven't lost their soul but i can not agree on "deserves an oscar". it deserves a lotta love and recognition for sure but oscar is a tiny bit too far.
Also in the beginning she said “and will rise I like the fiery Phoenix from the ashes” teasing her returning at the end of the movie from turning into a phoenix
Doesn't change that they pic and choose. They censored Rise of Skywalker in other countries because of a random gay kiss, Owl House got butchered pretty fast after Season 2, they still go out of their way to cater to the homophobic crowd. They don't care about whether it's gay or not, they'll just milk whatever makes them more money.
well they cancelled TOH after 2 girls kissed and i’m guessing the original creators of gravity falls waited to the end to confirm the gay cops so they didn’t get cancelled
@@Endless.nightmare-dfi no, they didn't, ? Luz and amity kissed in season 2 and they made a season 3 (where they kissed again) But i didn't Watch gravity falls yet so idk about that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@hater5822almost though. as a trans person i see myself in nimona a lot with the way she’s not “normal”. i could be reading into it too much but it’s almost secretly about trans people.
Movie didn't even roam around their sexuality. It was totally different. They were just happened to be gays but it wasn't the main plot of the story. I loved it!!!
Did you notice that the song Banana Splits is playing when Nimona is beating up a bunch of people is the same song that was used for Hit-girl in the movie Kick-ass when Chloe Grace Moretz's character is first intruded introduced and also kicking butt?
What is promoting gay? Does that mean like in other movies when they have straight couples they’re promoting Straight? In my opinion, the only thing they’re promoting is depression when you realise that you never gonna find someone that is like a fictional character 😁
It's too bad thay they got banned or cancel in Disney is understandable it's because they want it kid friendly but they really had deep meaning in the movie that kids need to know and understand 😔
Nope. Because they’re starting to understand the costs of grooming. It makes sense. It’s a good reason. However, they should oppose grooming for justice’s sake, not just because it hits the bottom line.
They want excuses they can pull later when kissing ass of conservative bigots stops being profitable. They've turned movie-making from an art into a factory line in the past decade alone.
@Chaotic_genderfluid nice! You must be a gymnast, for all the strecthes to that logic 😂😂😂😂 but I can agree that my comment is unnecessary, same as yours 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Chaotic_genderfluid yeah... same as you genderfluid people eyooooo hahaha calm down dude its just a comment 😌😌😌😌 oh sorry, are you a dude? Dudette? No? How about a glass of water since your fluid right? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro why does Disney change up classic cartoons to include more nationalities but doesn’t accept a new movie promoting lgbtq? Not trying to be racist but I’m just saying it’s unfair
All they care about money, and the majority of the worlds population is straight. In other words instead of making a movie with main gay characters to cater to the minority of lgbt people which most people don't care for (which also would in doing so not cater to large amount of the homophobes which means they lose a amount of audience), to get around this they sometimes make small background characters gay cause they know lgbt people will eat up those crumbs and watch either way. Also demonetisation in other countries that don't allow lgbt media means they lose a lot of money too. Tdlr; disney doesnt like to gamble and it prefers to cater to every type of people, straight, lgbt (hardly, but to get past homophobes they make not canon lgbt characters that are queer coded) and homophobic people too to get the maximum amount of money. They dont care about the people just the amount of people and the money earned from them. They will never get with the times, and they dont care to as long as they get the most money they can while 'catering'' to everyone.
I don’t think the movie was “promoting gays throughout the movie”. Yes, there was a gay couple and they did make it obvious, but they didn’t actively say or do anything gay. And holding hands or kissing doesn’t count. They didn’t throw signs or indication in your face that you should be gay or being gay is good or bad. And the gay couple were barely on screen seen together. Yes, there were gays, no, it wasn’t promoting em. It just showed em as an everyday normal couple. Also, those 2 characters were the ONLY gay characters. If they really were promoting gays, there would have been more gay couples, not just one. Overall, awesome movie. Gay main character DID NOT ruin or drag down the movie. It only made it more interesting since the guy did have to fight against his partner out of self defense. There wouldn’t even have been any difference if they weren’t dating. They’d still have to carry out their orders, regardless of dating or close friends. They had a job to do. I would’ve fought against my best friend too if I was given the order to unless he could prove to me on the spot with undeniable evidence that he was in fact innocent. The only reason I would have disobeyed orders is if they ordered me to kill. Only reason. I ain’t no killer. I’ll carry out my duties and capture him, but if they ever did a 180 and said to kill him, im switching sides and would do anything to save my best friend, even if it costs me my life.
i dont think they meant harm by saying “promoting gay”, in their other comments they agree with people who question why disney has such a problem with “promoting gay”. personally i thought it was hilarious. i want more movies to promote gay naturally
I love Bal but I was so upset when he ended up back with whatever his name is. I wanted him to find someone new and I know y'all will say, "Oh, he was brainwashed!" and "He loves Bal so much!" Well I don't care! Cutting your lovers arm off is insane and believing that he's a villain when you know him is just terrible. I'm glad Bal is happy but I'm not happy that his lover gets to say sorry and that's the end of it🙄
I remember Nomona said something about "fairy phoenix" when she was hit by an arrow. So it makes scense how she become ash and comback in the end credit.
plus, not to mention, a gay relationship shouldn't be considered "not for kids" when there are so many childrens movies with straight relationships? whats so different about a man and a woman kissing than a two men kissing? kids don't care about that stuff until their parents and social environment tell them that it's wrong, which it's not. they don't care if it's a man and a woman or a man and a man kissing on screen it really doesn't matter. and the fact that it's gay instead of straight doesn't make it any more sexual.
