It’s funny seeing the evolution of hairstyles. We used to do those criss crosses and twistiest in the back with updos. But this take on the updo is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 😍

Rubber bands were easier when I did this to my daughter’s hair ❤ Also I didn’t use that bun maker, and braided the hair while still attached to the rubber band it came on.

Be careful and avoid breakage with using rubber bands. Don't forget to soak them in oil. I do agree with you on the initial braid being the fed in braided base. Therefore more of anchor ⚓ and not allowing the base move or become dislodged. Then I would attach - pin the other braided pieces as shown. This is truly a beautiful hairstyle 😍 ❤ 👍🏼 I just don't know if I could get those parts straight or keep my arms up for any length of time. *I have back issues 😐
