Bukhara used to be a star restaurant several years ago not sure if it still is. Their Dal is supposed to get cooked over 24 hours which is where it gets its flavour from. I remember Bukhara restaurant in ITC Maurya Sheraton. I love their Dal Makhani and Sikandari Raan with 1 yard naan. Bruce Springsteen had eaten there in 1988. I remember one ad of Bukhara in 1990s titled Eat North West Frontier Province food in extremely hospitable environment. There is a fine dining restaurant in New Delhi called Masala Library by Jiggs and Zorawar Kalra. Another restaurant you should try is Indian Accent on Lodhi road.

There are other types of papad also like potato papad which also taste awesome. You can get them raw from grocery stores and fry at home also, they are very cheap, it takes a few seconds to fry.

I am surprised by the amount of tax applied. CGST 9% , SGST 9% and on top of that VAT. Out of the total bill 2000 rs is just tax. After paying personal income tax then you have to pay these heavy taxes. So that the government can give freebies and subsidise to those illegal immigrants in India in return of votes.
